Gardner Rehab began as Eastwood Pines Nursing Home, in 1969. Already a successful businessman, real estate developer and philanthropist, founder Leo P. LaChance created the facility, originally seeking high-quality, state-of-the-art nursing care for his mother.
In 2008, renamed the Legend Center (to pay tribute to Mr. LaChance's vision), the entire 120-bed facility underwent extensive renovations, was completely updated and a state-of-the-art, post-acute care unit was created.This unit is a merging of hospital-level technology with the skilled and efficient operation of a nursing facility, to allow for complete rehabilitation/post-acute nursing services.
