My recent 5 week stay at New England Recovery ( 1 week detox, 4 week residential) was very successful. Largely because I went on my own, not due to any outside pressures (work, family, court, etc.). I set my goals and planned my schedule there with my clinician. If you go there because of outside pressure, and don’t also make it your own personal goal to succeed, it will be harder. Just being there, listening at group, then watching TV in your spare time, and expecting to be magically better when you leave, will most likely lead to disappointment. You may also end up with a bad reflection on

This by far is the best detox/resi program I've ever been too. Everyone thinks RCA is the best program but NERK and there case workers actually care about the clients. From the girls at the front desk to both of my counselor's detox then up at resi were great! I'll definitely be back there to share my experience/ strength.
Thank you spectrum/ New England recovery!

I left a star review but I only did that because I have a question... I've never been here before so I honestly left that star review so I could leave this comment/question..
I see from a few comments here that they said this is a seven day program? I'm confused. I thought this was a rehab ? Or is it just detox?
Thanks

April 17, 2021. I checked out today at 8 am. Everyone there was nice to me. All the staff (it would be unfair if I mention names) was good. I went back to the facility about 5 pm to say goodbye to the staff and the people I met. I was not allowed to speak with anyone and she was rude. All i wanted to do was to say goodbye properly and let the people I met in there know i appreciated them and I'm thinking about them. But at 5 pm, the lady shut me down and said I can't talk to anyone but Paul came to the window to say goodbye. I would appreciate it if i could see the whole group and say a proper

I would like to thank New England Recovery Center for giving my life back to me. I felt that the nursing staff knew the right meds to give me, and that I was treated very kindly and with respect.
My sobriety was challenged when the store where I worked remained open during the pandemic. During the beginning stages of the “shelter in place” order, it was one of the few open places. A lot of people came in the store with their families, who did not seem to understand the 6-foot distancing rule or wear masks.
My anxiety was triggered and I made a poor choice starting to drink after being sober

This is not true the detox lets you take at least seven pieces of clothing the reason for this is that people take tons and tons of clothing like they are going to vacation there people it's only a 7-Day program. The staff is very amazing they are compassionate the food from the outside not bad and they have plenty full of food for the evening my favorite is the salads. Joe is the best he cares about people and he literally will give you the shirt off his back this is a wonderful detox please take a look for yourself don't go by what people say their experience might not be your experience. NERC saved my life when i was at rock bottom, the detox program was amazing and far beyond my expectations as this was my first detox. Everyone to staff to fellow patients it was truly a joy to work with. The groups had me in tears and really opened a new light for me and saved me from my bottom. I also truly appreciate that fellow people with my disease are staff there and truly understand from inside out and with everything in the that they want to help and save a life and show someone like me it will be ok and you can overcome this battle of addiction if you truly put the work and learn to love

Do not waste your time with this program!! They treat patients like animals. They let you come in with ONE sweatshirt for the entire 7 day stay and force you to continue wearing the same disgusting, sweaty clothes that you’re detoxing in the whole time. The scrubs they force you to wear smell like they haven’t been ever washed. They don’t allow anything to be brought in that will help make your stay more comfortable and manageable. It’s basically like detoxing in jail for seven days while the staff is rude and unhelpful.

My experience in the detox building was utterly disappointing. You're not allowed to wear anything but scrubs and there's no locks on the bathroom doors and you share a room with 3 other men. Interruptions and loud noises while you try to sleep are constant. The cafeteria is closed due to COVID so you stay on the wing the entire time and the food is bussed in from somewhere and 75% of the meals are inedible. Half the patients including myself just ate the cereal and snacks. Very few meetings occurred during my stay and there was very, very little stimulating things to do on the wing.
