Services
Dr. Michael Harres was born and raised in Columbia, Illinois. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Milliken University in 1974 and went on to achieve his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Illinois in 1978. In June of 1979, Dr. Harres started Mon-Clair Animal Hospital in Millstadt, Illinois.
Our full-service animal hospital is locally owned and proudly serves Millstadt and the surrounding areas. You can find confidence in our experienced and compassionate staff as we have been a team since 1979. During every single visit, we want to make sure that your entire family (pet included) is comfortable.
We recently moved to town, and have been looking for a good place to take our poodles, and we found it! The staff was so friendly, and Dr. Harres was wonderful with our 2 miniature poodles. Dr. Harres answered all of my questions, and was very helpful. I can't possible say enough, about the greatest Veterinarian around, Dr. Mike Harres.
Whether you are going out of town for vacation or business, we know it is hard to leave your pet. The guilt and stress over it make it even more difficult. Nobody ever wants to leave their baby. But imagine if your pet gets to go and stay with people that treat them like their own! I just called to make an appointment and was told they are no longer taking new pets. Despite the fact my dog went there. Which I was told my dog would die if I didn’t take him to the animal hospital. Then I was promised someone would call the hospital explain what was wrong then they didn’t. I was looking for help especially since our other dog is now in the animal hospital due to an accidental organ cut at the humane society. Yeah so much for my family taking pets there since the 80’s. Have no one to count on. Guess no one cares about animals anymore never going there again she told me

Dr Harris and his staff is just amazing. They take such good care or all our animals. We live in waterloo now,, but still bring everyone to them. We brought in 3 new 12 week old kittens today and were in and out with shots and next Apts very quickly. Thank you all! I completely recommend them to anyone and everyone.

Used to take my Boxers here and this vet was the best, as the new owner of a kitten I knew exactly where he'd be going even though we moved about 40 minutes away. Love this place and the staff are wonderful. Our car registration fell out of the car somehow, they found it, and even mailed it to us! Nicest place, great doctor, great prices and amazing staff. Cannot recommend enough.
