Services
The mission of Stout Street Foundation (SSF) is to provide the necessary services and support in a totally structured therapeutic community environment to assist addicts and alcoholics to help themselves in rehabilitation, recovery, and transition in returning to society as productive and responsible citizens.
Several substance abuse treatment programs offer both inpatient treatment at a rehab center and outpatient treatment. If you or a loved one is considering participating in long-term treatment in Colorado, it is imperative to find a program that will not only offer you numerous therapeutic services during your stay but will also help provide you an appropriate aftercare plan for when you leave.
Alcohol, while socially acceptable throughout dozens of cultures worldwide, is often regarded as one of the most addictive and dangerous substances. When an individual abuses alcohol for a long period of time, he or she can become dependent on it. As a result, an addiction can form and professional help might be needed in order to stop drinking for good.
Addiction is a chronic, relapsing disease of the brain, making it necessary for afflicted individuals to obtain some level of professional treatment in order to achieve sobriety. Many people who are addicted to drugs like heroin, prescription painkillers, cocaine, or amphetamines need help stopping.
Our 28-Day drug and alcohol Denver rehab program provides intensive inpatient treatment to adult men and women. Short-term treatment gives you the chance to learn new ways to manage your stress, anxiety, addiction and other needs. From Individual Therapy, Holistic Treatments and 12 Step Therapy we use various approaches because we know that everyone is unique.

There are better programs out there, they want your money nomatter what they say. The councelor I spoke with to exit the program was of no help whatsoever, had a condescending attitude, and was an all around counter productive, rude, sociopath. I am doing great and enjoying my sobriety. Just do not let the peogram take advantage of you or change your personality.

Note to self, do not donate to Stout St. Foundation.
I pulled into their huge empty lot to meet someone that is buying a vacuum from me... Within 3 minutes, 2 guys came out and said it was private property and that I couldn't park there. I literally thought they were the people I was meeting. Set the vacuum outside and everything. It is a huge empty lot. Not like I was staying the night or something.
I was literally there for 10 minutes tops. Aren't all lots private? So I guess most would let me park to do this, but then there are some huge empty ones that won't.
I don't get it.

May 23rd, 2018 after multiple arrests and a few long miserable years of destroying myself I was given an ultimatum by larimer county drug court. Go to stout street or go to the community corrections for 2-6 years.
Community corrections would have been way easier and less challenging, but I had literally just lost one of my closest family members to an overdose and my family was torn in pieces at the time.
I didn't want help, but my family didn't want me to die and I didn't want to hurt my family anymore. I knew if I didn't stop I was going to die, so after weeks of sitting in jail I finally decided

If I could give a ZERO star I would because that's how much they care about their residents! This place is seriously DANGEROUS! I HIGHLY recommend reading ALL the negative reviews before sending a loved one here.
If I would have know they were going to berate, mentally beat down, and harass my loved on on a daily basis with abusive peer-led shame tactics, I would have found a healthier option sooner.
When he decided to make a new plan and told his counselor that he would prefer to transfer to a sober living facility that specialized in a 12-step recovery program... they immediately packed

The advantage to this place is it gets you away from your addiction for a long period of time. The program has had several occasions where staff had become sexually involved with clients, only to be swept under the rug. There is A SERIOUS lack of qualified staff to handle the 100+ residents. Most of the "counselors" are people who went through the program only a short time before. Just know you are walking into a confrontational, behavior modification program. It is definitely not for everyone and has an EXTREMELY low rate of success/completion. The other lengthy review here is SPOT

This place was a joke they talked down on you every Tuesday and Friday THE GAME! if you want a prison like rehab where you are forced to tell on everyone for every little thing this is the place to go. (THE BENCH) i stayed on the bench ( adult time out) for 52 hours before they kicked me out that Monday. they gave me a pillow and a small blanket and said have a good night. Two nights i slept on that bench just to be kicked aside, because i had to many problems. they make you work 14 hour shifts doing hard labor off foundation " I also told them i wasn't ready to be off foundation"

The best decision I ever made was to ask to go to Stout Street Foundation. I was a lost soul who was dying emotionally faster than I was killing myself physically. Stout Street taught me how to deal with both appropriately. My journey is not done and I will always be growing and learning but I owe all my years of sobriety and everything I am and have today to this program. Thank you Stout Street!

This place gives rehabs a bad name.
They have several tactics that are downright nasty and not recommended in general as a treatment.
A treatment "method" they use is called "riding the bench". Mom used to call this putting me in time out. You are required to sit on a hard chair, without moving, for hours. Not kidding. Saw one elderly resident having to do this for a 2 hour "ride" because she didn't fill her paperwork out correctly. The "rides" can go 8 hours. Having to go to the bathroom while you are riding the bench is not considered an emergency

After years of feeling lost, of drowning in my addiction, of losing very nearly all hope that I could ever have a good life, Stout Street showed me how to be strong and earn that better life for myself. Today I love my life, I respect myself, and I get to end every day feeling good about what I'm doing, all things I had never felt before. Stout Street is the hardest thing I have ever done, and I wouldn't trade a second of that experience for anything in the world. I owe my life to this place, but more importantly I owe Stout Street the person I am proud to be today.

Stout Street Foundation helped me save my life. I completed the therapeutic community and my quality of life has improved 1000 times over since graduating in February 2015, and continues to with every day of recovery. I had struggled with drugs and alcohol for nearly 20 years. I have nothing but gratitude for stout street and the hope they foster and grow. As a recovering addict and alcoholic I highly recommend this program to other addicts in search of a solution and a better way of life.
I can unequivocally without a single ounce of doubt say that everything I have, and have regained in my life
