Services
Texas Dermatology Associates, P.A. is continuously interviewing new prospects. We will review your qualifications and if we have a need, we will contact you for a face-to-face meeting. I have been a patient of Dr. A. since the day he took over the practice from Dr. Harrell & Dr. Felber. I was skeptical at first.
The XTRAC Therapy can be used on any plaque psoriasis regardless of location on the body. The XTRAC Therapy is excellent for hard to treat areas such as the scalp, knees or elbows. Most patients will begin to notice improvement in their psoriasis within 3 or 4 treatments. Significant improvement is often seen in 6 to 10 treatments, with clearance in 10 to 20 treatments.
Our in-office, non-surgical skin cancer treatment offers extraordinary advantages. Our patients now benefit from Superficial Radiation Therapy with the SRT-100 Vision for safe, effective treatment of non-melanoma skin cancer and Keloid scars. Welcome to SRT (Superficial Radio Therapy), the scalpel-free, pain-free treatment.

Go somewhere else, anywhere, but here!! I have been seeing Dr. Menter since 2005. A couple of years ago I started seeing Dr. K - who is also wonderful. Now that the practice has been sold no one answers the phone, it took from Monday morning until Friday afternoon to get an Rx refill - that all of the refills should have been updated when I was there in June, no one responds to email in the patient portal, when you call to make appt you get answering service and you wait 3 days for someone to call you back to make the appt, good luck leaving a message with the doctor's nurse - either it sends you

Since the beginning of the month I tried to get my prescription refilled. Everytime I inquired about the issue they told me it would be forwarded to a nurse. The pharmacy has not received the prescription which will revert my treatment. Disappointed and heartbroken.

I've been coming here for a few years and as of this year I found out that the office was bought by another company. Office visit used to be $90. Self-pay prices have gone up. I was quoted $125 for a regular office visit as I just needed my yearly refill for acne treatment, which I paid at the time of my visit, and now I keep getting a bill statement from an office in Houston, Texas saying I owe more money.

I had the opportunity to visit this clinic because I use psoriasis medication and was having trouble where I had been going with getting my prescriptions filled. Getting an appointment when I needed meds right away was very easy and I got in right away. The provider (Dr. K) was really helpful and I got my prescription sent over to my pharmacy immediately. The receptionists were really nice. Something else was their help with my insurance. I am very glad I tried this clinic.

I have been seeing Dr. Menter for about twelve YEARS and he has definitely helped my skin improve drastically. If i could give Dr menter alone five stars, I would without questions asked - he is lovely by every standard. Unfortunately, I have seen other derms at the practice as well and have had terrible luck. I called during a bad eczema flare and saw a doctor who didn’t even take time to look at my chart and didn’t believe me when I said I had a history of skin problems - even though I see his partner and my medical history since childhood has been charted with them. A waste of my money and

What a nightmare! Don't go here unless you want to pay $200-300 for a skin check. Also the billing department never answers their phone.. I will have to drive here to get a receipt.

Dr Menter I think sold this practice to another company and all the great old staff left. If you value your health do not go to this practice. I spent months trying to get my medication that helped me walk -psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. I called everyday for a month desperate to get someone to make a two minute phone call to authorize a prescription the doctors here filled. No one ever returned my phones, messages or phone calls made by my pharmacy. Most awful and unprofessional experience I have ever had!!

If you value your health, time, and money DO NOT USE THIS PRACTICE!! My last appt was March 2021. My insurance wouldn't cover the medication Dr. K prescribed me. I called the office trying to get assistance, a new prescription, or some other solution... NO ONE WILL CALL ME BACK. I've been trying for 2 and a half months. I've left multiple messages with the nurses and biologics. I talked to the front desk a couple of times but they just transferred me to voicemail. They really don't care about the wellbeing of their patients.

I really like Dr. Kivelevitch. He is amazingly informative. It is rare that I receive such great medical attention especially, from a specialist. I find Dr. Kivelevitch to be very patient, he allows me to ask questions and I don't feel rushed. In addition, I have results! My skin has improved substantially. I am so happy I was referred here.
As far as calling, this office is very busy! I suggest asking all of your questions during your visit, if you can.

My first visit to see Dr. Menter was on May 17, 2021. While I was waiting to be called back for examination, an elderly lady came in and complained that she had been trying to get her prescription refilled for two months. She had made numerous calls to the office but either couldn't get anyone to answer the phone, or the person who answered did not resolve her problem. She said she would stay there until she got her prescription. I thought there must have been some sort of miscommunication. I felt sorry for the lady having to drive to the office to get some attention.

I saw Dr. Menter shortly

Lisa O and her team have been my dermatologist choice for so many years. Since around 2007, in fact. I was diagnosed with psoriasis as a child, but my symptoms got much worse as an adult. I have dealt with many breakouts over the years...some flares are horribly painful. So painful it hurts to move. Since finding Lisa and her team, I can honestly say my condition is managed with grace, thoughtfulness, genuine care, and a loving need to just...help. No more tears for me! I believe that the wonderful people that work for Texas Dermatology Associates really do care. And that is communicated in volumes

If I gave Dr. Menter 5 stars, then I wish I could give his admin/support staff negative 10 stars! Awful is not a strong enough word to describe dealing with the headache of making an appointment or trying to get a simple answer. I dread calling this office because it always brings stress. I'm looking for a new dermatologist. I can't rationalize dealing with them any longer. They should rename the office from "Texas Dermatology" to "STRESS Dermatology". You've been warned.

COVID petri dish. Nobody is more than 2-3 feet apart. I saw 3 patients with masks BELOW their nose and nobody policing it. When I stood on the "6 foot" mark to the front desk, my left leg touched the knee of a seated patient. It's a sardine can. I objected (I was with my elderly mom, who is high risk for that and other reasons) - and we were moved to a tiny 2nd waiting room alone, seen immediately (early), and Dr. Sears and her assistant spoke so fast that even I couldn't understand much of what they said. Luckily, I didn't need to - or I'd have asked them to

Dr. Menter and his staff have always been the most organized, well informed group on the treatment of Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis. I moved to Denton , had a Psoriasis out break and after a month of getting whatever I could in Denton I think I was almost dead. By then I had it everywhere but my face and front of my neck. As always I was treated very very well and with compassion, and Dr Menter made me feel (I already knew this would happen) that he would help me. Most all staff were new to me but they were just as committed to helping me and easing my discomfort.

I was recommended to Dr. Menter as I have been battling chronic idiopathic urticaria for 7+ years and was seeking a second opinion. I have NEVER been more disappointed in a doctor. I would definitely NOT recommend this practice to anyone. He came in the room asked very minimal questions and started spouting several medicines I should take (almost exactly what I was already taking, just different names) and then basically said Merry Christmas and walked out. Entire visit lasted less than 10 minutes and I walked out in tears. If you are wanting a doctor you can discuss your concerns with and who

I came here a few weeks ago on the recommendation of my PCP to help treating my melasma (brown patches on face) along with making sure none of my body moles/freckles were suspicious. The office location is great along with the fact that it's located in the same building as the Menter Cosmetic Institute and Menter Research Institute. I ended up walking down the hall after my appointment to purchase some of the daily face sunscreen that is tinted and SPF 40, which was on sale for cheaper than what I could have gotten off Amazon. I also liked being able to see/feel/touch all the products and

I've had great visits before. However, this time as my treatment is coming to an end I got an overwhelming amount of attitude from the front reception. I was asked about payment and upon asking for clarification she became annoyed. Not to mention the few individuals in the waiting area able to hear anything and everything said about treatment within the 2 min span she spoke. After not being able to answer my question and maybe being a little frustrated she directed me ask at the end of my visit with the receivable/scheduler. Anyone who goes regularly to the dermatologist knows the costs associated

I can't say enough great things about this office. Everyone you encounter is friendly and helpful. I was seen by Lisa Ostrowski and would recommend her to anyone, she has great bedside manner, really listens to your concerns, and truly cares about your outcomes. The icing on top of the cake is the billing department, they answer and return calls promptly and work very hard to make sure all the billing information is correct or quickly work to resolve it. The whole team here is great from the front desk to my nurse Jasmine! I promise, you will not regret coming here and actually leave feeling

Many issues have occurred over my last two visits:
- Both times my appointment was delayed by over 1 hour even though I was told it'd be a 20 minute wait. First time was 1 hour and 40 minute wait, second visit was 1 hour late.
- Upon second visit, the practitioner (PA) didn't even remember my first visit 4 weeks prior. She wasn't familiar with my case, and couldn't remember what she'd already discussed with me, neither did she reference my chart to familiarize. I had to explain my conditions and her own initial diagnosis and Rx to her... am I the provider, or are they

I had a small flat wart on my foot and needs to be removed. It is my first time visiting. People there are really nice. Doctor told me that usually it takes more than one treatment to remove the wart completely and I agree with that. However, I thought they would try to remove most / some of it for the first time. I got two burns of liquid nitrogen on my foot for my first treatment. But the wart looked almost the same after the treatment and it cost me $250 for that. I don't think it is a huge wart which can be only removed 1/4 for the first time, or not even 1/4... My next appointment will

I am sure that the other derms in this office are great, but I had a TERRIBLE experience with the PA. She was with me less than 5 minutes, had her assistant inject my cystic acne with two shots that ended up costing me $70 a piece--she didn't explain the cost, what they were doing, etc. Worst of all, she was disappointed that she could not put me on Accutane!! That stuff is HORRIBLE for you!!!

I am so frustrated that even with insurance, I ended up paying close to $200 for services that I didn't understand. And honestly--shame on me for not slowing her down and asking more questions

I had an appointment scheduled to see Dr. Ryan. My appointment was at 3:30. I showed up at 3:16 and filled out all required paperwork. I was taken into a room at 3:35. I was excited that I was actually being seen on time. A nurse asked me a few questions then told me the doctor would be right in. 43 minutes later NO doctor. There's only so many news articles and Instagram posts that will keep you busy for that long. I got bored by this point. At 4:25 I decided i didn't want to sit any longer. Waiting over 45 minutes is just ridiculous. I requested a refund of my co pay and left. I&apos

I came here after a really bad experience at North Dallas Dermatology Associates - basically my doctor's nurse avoided me for a month while my conditioned worsened and couldn't be bothered to return any of my 1,800 calls and voice mails.

Anyway, I came here with a very rare and difficult skin condition to treat and while I don't know if Dr. Ryan will be able to get rid of it - OMG the customer service here is amazing!!! Amber, Dr. Ryan's nurse, is so great! She has answered all of my emails and messages within an hour! When she says she'll call me - she calls me!
