Avoid Corolla Classic Vacations. We experienced the same bait & switch game that other reviewers have mentioned. Soon after we booked our rental, we were told it was unavailable and were offered other (inferior) options. It is unprofessional to have active listings online of unavailable homes. There are many other rental companies in the OBX, so renters and owners shouldn't waste their time here.

What an incredible disappointment! They called this place "Dream Catcher", we call it "The Nightmare". On the second day, when an unannounced exterminator knocked on the door to check for bed bugs, we knew the place wasn’t just outdated and dirty. We no longer felt comfortable, lost faith in the management, and our long awaited, family vacation came to an abrupt end!

I cannot say enough great things about Logan from CCV. After driving from Pittsburgh to our beach house in Corolla, we noticed it was in less than desirable living conditions. We called them and within 45 minutes of us arriving, she found us an even better, and bigger place for our group of 14. She was so apologetic and focused on making it right, it truly made us feel like she cared. She met us at our new place and even sent us out to eat on their dime. Because of Logan, there's no question that we would absolutely book though CCV again when we come to Outer Banks. Thanks again Logan!

BEWARE OF BAIT AND SWITCH MARKETING which they will then say was an "error" with their online reservation system. I spent months fighting this company to get my money back after they fraudulently stole $1,400 from my account. After they baited me into booking a reservation for $2500 for a week rental, got my debit card information, they switched the price to nearly $8500. I canceled after they refused to make good on the reservation. Then 6 months later they charged me $1,400 out of nowhere, without approval, without a signed contract. It was a nightmare. I was a little worried about our upcoming trip due to Covid, especially based on some negative reviews I was reading about recent stays. We stayed in a home through Corolla Classic Vacations last year and it was a good experience minus a few minor issues that were handled in a timely manner. This year we decided to go with a brand new house, literally, Southern Nights 575. Check in was easy. The house was newly built and in a great sound side neighborhood. The house was beautiful and well equipped for the most part. It was fairly clean, but I do feel it could have been cleaned a little better.

We rented a house this past weekend and it was not very clean. Also, the heat stopped working in part of the house. We reported the heat immediately because it was a priority. Carolla Classic Vacations said an HVAC vendor would be out that day, but no one ever came. We called and the Service Manager stated the work order was submitted to HVAC vendor electronically but admitted they do not follow up to see if vendor received work order or addressed the issue. If you're looking for an obx vacation rental avoid this company at all costs (trust me, you'll be happy you did). We rented Crown Jewel OS2 from Sept 6th - Sept 13th. Never in my life had a seen a rental house SO neglected. Let's start off first to say that there was black mold growing on the ceiling of the master suite bathroom and throughout the third floor. My MIL brought this up to Pat who didn't seem to care at all even though we told her that someone staying with us had health issues from black mold. Literature indicated that the housekeeping staff that comes once a week in-between rentals is the same every week so they "get to know" the needs and conditions of the places.
I guess that's why we had to call for the hot tub being out of service, a broken screen, trash left in a dresser drawer and on master bathroom floor, not having toilet paper in each bathroom, curtains coming off the curtain rod and a trash can missing a wheel (that we were responsible for bringing in on trash day and putting

Loved our vacation through Corolla Classic Vacations. Excellent customer service, great frendly staff. We only had one issue on our trip (gas grill was out of propane) and they had us back to grilling in no time. We will definitely book a vacation with them in the future.

If I could give 0 stars I would. DO NOT rent from them! We rented a house that was a disaster. Filthy dirty, many things broken and worn down, and frankly, even some liabilities. We pointed these things out upon arrival, only a few things were addressed. We were ignored over and over again....such terrible service and rentals. I was literally in tears on the first day, that's how much I didn't want to stay in that house. Thanks for the great vacation memories Corolla Classic! Below are just a few pictures of the many gross conditions of the house.
