Services
Saurabh Lodha attended Creighton University and graduated Summa cum Laude in 2003. At Creighton, he was accepted into the Phi Sigma Society for top biology majors and was also given the Plato award for most outstanding philosophy co-major. Dr. Lodha then attended NYU School of Medicine where he was elected into the medical school honor society and later received the Marion B. Sulzberger award for excellence in dermatology.

Honestly, horrendous experience with both staff and at times Dr. Lodha. Their staff is super unresponsive, sends prescriptions to the wrong place, not able to track down lab tests that have been sent to them, and generally makes coming in a headache. Dr. Lodha, while super knowledgeable, spends so little time with his patients. Two appointments - he was in and out within 2 minutes (I timed it because it had happened a couple times before). He pays such little attention to your case - doesn’t remember what medication or dosage you’re on, any other skin problems you’ve talked about in the past

I'm very impressed for the first time to find a right dermatologist in manhattan. I guess doing the research online is so worth it and I'm not surprised why Dr. Lodha has so many great reviews. The clinic is extremely clean and nice. Staff is very professional and friendly. Dr.Lodha really cares about his patients. Im already healing so well from today's procedure. I'm extremely satisfied to find Pura dermatology and Dr.Lodha.

I love Dr. Lodah and Pura! Staff are responsive by email and it’s easy to fill prescriptions. Dr. Lodah has a great approach - he has a way of making you feel optimistic, and he makes plans to actually solve problems that you may have resigned yourself to just living with. I always leave feeling energized. I’ve never had any issues with wait time or logistics. I’d recommend him to everyone.

I would not recommend Pura dermatology, the front desk staff was hostile in their welcome and I felt profiled as a black woman when I was summoned to the front desk to pay my copay prior to my visit. The Dr's attendant provided me with a very vague prescription (if you can call it that) which mostly included their own products. The one product that was not theirs did not come with a specific brand recommendation, which is confounding considering how many products there are on the market and how greatly quality varies. Dr Lodha was great!! Our six month old baby had a pretty bad case of atopic dermatitis which would just not go away with the standard home remedies. He provided us with a treatment plan that included both immediate relief and more maintenance regime to treat her skin conditions - within days we had a beautiful pink baby again. And thanks to the maintenance therapy plan we have not had any major setbacks since. He also saved us money by directing us to a small boutique pharmacy which delivered the drugs directly to our house and was much cheaper than CVS!

Went here hoping I could find a solution to my reoccurring skin irritation. Upon immediate entry into the exam room Dr. Lodha was pushy and arrogant. He cut me off from speaking about my concerns multiple times and also felt the need to tell me "I don't take care of myself or my skin." Very unprofessional and genuinely uncalled for?! The entire appointment turned into a pitch meeting for his line of acne care products, which had nothing to do with my reason for me being there in the first place. I left with no solution and quite frankly pissed off by his bedside manner.

I have been going to Pura Dermatology and seeing Saurabh Lodha for a few years and have yet to leave a review. I guess I’m bad at them. But he deserves the best of reviews I could give. The office itself is always efficient. You ALWAYS feel taken care of. And they are always friendly. Dr. Lodha is the kindest, most patient, and knowledgeable Dermatoligist I’ve ever been to. The results are always fantastic, and I couldn’t recommend this place more. I’m just sorry it took this long to express how I felt.

The receptionist was friendly and the office was very clean. Dr. Lodha was very informative, kind, professional and I could tell that he cares about his patients. I have been very happy with Dr. Lodha for over four years. Dr. Lodha is very knowledgeable and has greatly helped me with my adult acne and provided some aesthetic procedures. He always takes his time to explain everything clearly and makes you feel comfortable. He makes you aware of all of his services and products, but never pushes any of them on you. I had such a great experience going to Dr. Lodha ‘s office! The staff are extremely nice and I was seen within minutes of arriving to the office. I went to see Dr. Lodha last week and couldn't recommend him/ Pura Dermatology enough. The front desk and reception was great, helped me and was super accommodating. Outstanding! I am and so pleased with Dr. Lodha's work. He is smart, knows his stuff and is extremely personable. He spoke in terms that I understood and I never felt rushed. He was so right to offer a less evasive approach to my problem and the results are amazing! The entire staff is warm, friendly and helpful. They even helped to find a pharmacy that took my insurance....big plus! I have to also mention that the office is spotless!!!
