Founded in 1999 and incorporated in 2001 by Scott Bachman and his wife Claudine, Detection Inspection, Inc. is a family and locally owned business. We serve the NC Piedmont, including the Metro areas of Charlotte, Gastonia, Lake Norman, Hickory, Statesville, and Shelby. Scott performs the home inspections, while Claudine handles scheduling and office management.
Radon is an odorless, flavorless, invisible gas created by the decay of naturally occurring uranium in soil and water. Radon is found everywhere - in outdoor air and indoor air of all kinds of buildings. The average radon concentration of indoor air in American homes is about 1.3 pCi/L (pico Curies per Liter).
