On a wintery day in the Gorge, owners Christi and Phillip shared a glass of Merlot at Maryhill winery. Savoring the rich flavors and scenic view, they thought how others might enjoy Gorge wineries without having to drive. An idea was started to form Hood River Tours, and specialize in taking guests on custom private wine tours of the region.
The Columbia Gorge has over 30 wineries and an abundance of award winning wines to sample. Whether your on a Wine Mission, or just want a casual day out, we offer Custom wine tours to the best wineries at great rates. If you've never done a wine tour before, this is for you-it's all about FUN! Learn how to swirl, smell and sip while learning how wine is made with guides who live right here in The Gorge.
A Half Day Tour with a Local Guide who lives in the Columbia Gorge and has experience with each winery. Snack Platter for wine pairing: Salami and Cheese board, Crackers, and Gourmet Chocolates. Tours are in the 15 Passenger Van or Private groups in our 24 person Motorcoach, 50 passenger bus Permitted with ODOT, FMCA and insured.

This was a fantastic tour that I would readily recommend. We booked the tour and went into it not knowing what to expect. We enjoy wine but really didn't know much about the wine making/tasting process. Phil, our tour guide, was incredibly helpful in those areas, along with other areas. On the tour, Phil pointed out major landmarks and gave us history of the gorge. We opted to go for a walk on the tour, so he brought us to a great path that overlooked the gorge. Wanted to say thanks one more time for the reception shuttle and bachelorette party Saturday in Hood River. With so much wedding planning to do we were short on time. They put together a package for the reception shuttle and ladies party with wineries, snacks and a tour of the barrel room. Could not have done it with out you. HORRIBLE service from this company! I hired Columbia Wine Tours to run two shuttle trips to transport wedding guests for my daughter's wedding from Hood River, OR to the Tin Roof Barn in Husam, WA on July 20, 2019. The driver was supposed to pick up guests in Hood River at 2:45 pm and deliver them to the Tin Roof Barn 12 miles away, and then return to Hood River to pick up more guests to get them to the wedding by 4:00 pm. Well, the driver picked up the first guests at 2:45 pm, but he delivered the first busload of guests to the WRONG WEDDING!!! Once he realized his mistake, he turned around and
