Psychotherapy is the process in which an individual commits to making changes in his/her life by learning to cope with grief or loss or by changing relationships or actions that are causing distress. My methods will help you come to new insights that will increase the likelihood that you can make these changes.

I will provide a supportive, non-judgmental atmosphere to help you decide how to make changes that improve your quality of life. Over the course of therapy, we will discuss the best methods and the projected number of sessions you might need to achieve your goals. Please be assured that all conversations and correspondence will be kept strictly confidential.

I am a graduate of Harvard University, where I completed my Doctorate in Education in human development and psychology, and held an internship at McLean Hospital in Belmont, Massachusetts. I have been trained in a variety of treatment methodologies and have worked with adults and children, treating eating disorders, chemical dependency and compulsive gambling.
Each family member deals with their own stresses, and arguments often occur even in the closest family. It's when this becomes a problem that counseling may be necessary. Family counseling can also be helpful when someone in the family is going through intense individual counseling so that the family and individual can learn to work together toward mental health.
Anxiety can negatively impact a person's self-esteem and ability to function at home, in school, at work, or in relationships. If left untreated, anxiety may become so overwhelming that it can cause physically debilitating panic attacks and otherwise negatively affect your life. The same goes for people that have stress management issues and eating disorders.
Even the best relationships will go through ups and downs. If you're having difficulty with your own, receiving relationship and marriage counseling may be a good idea. Our family therapy services will be able to help you and your significant other with relationship issues. We also have couples counseling as well as problem resolution sessions.
I provide a non-judgmental atmosphere to help you decide how to make changes that improve your quality of life. Please note that while I will offer you guidance and support, you will have the major responsibility in creating the life changes that you want.

Using mindfulness-based therapy that integrates the mind, body and spirit, I can assist you in transforming negative and destructive thoughts and behavior into helpful and compassionate responses.
