After his run as Marketing Coordinator for action sports lifestyle brand Alphanumeric, Mike Irons Alzona founded streetwear label "Irons Situation Control" in 2001 out of his home town of San Diego. Alongside the custom clothing, Sit-Con has carried over the Irons Brand style principle into the collection of menswear and accessories to complete the wardrobe.

Hello friends, just letting you know that we are now booking private fittings in the San Diego Area for Fall 2021 and Spring 2022. Whether you just need new gear for real life situations, getting married or attending a special event or wedding, we got you. Check out our Formal Wear Pinterest page for some inspiration.
We recommend booking a private appointment. You can book a no-obligation consultation for an in person visit at your home or office, over the phone or virtually. Typical turnaround time for a Custom Suit or Tuxedo is approximately 6-8 weeks (includes alteration time if needed). Custom shirts are 3-4 weeks.

I was referred to Mike by a friend for a custom suit to make my wedding day even more special, and I'm so glad I listened. From the beginning, Mike was super helpful and supportive, as well as quick with communicating the process to me. This was my first custom suit, and Mike made everything super easy! The home visit was a great way to review all of the different colors/materials in comfort, especially with the COVID concerns.
After that first meeting, the other 2 fittings flew by. His original measuring were very accurate and very few adjustments needed to be made so I received my suit

With a wedding coming up I was on the search for a skillful & reputable tailor and after visiting with Michael of The Situation Control I can say with confidence that Michael is truly a master of his craft. Had a tuxedo for my wedding made by Mike at Situation Control back in March. Mike absolutely killed it and was extremely supportive every step of the process -- that's inclusive of me struggling to tie a bow-tie just before my wedding and him coming through with text instructions on how to nail it with ease.

This year, I decided to get a custom tuxedo for my wedding . Working with Michael was my first time ever getting a custom tux made. He was amazing, he explained terms and the difference in styles. Showed me lots of options and styles without making me feel rushed. He was knowledgeable and gave me honest opinions of what styles would look good, but left the final choices up to me. It really felt like a collaboration. My tux came out better than I expected and fit perfectly. I'm definitely going back to him for my next custom fit.

Situational Control has been awesome from start to finish. Mike iron is very good at what he does. I came to him 2 months prior to my wedding and I've looked around and i happen to stumble upon him through a site that spoke about his work and what he did previously before doing custom suits but it doesn't stop there. He does custom button ups, vest, jackets, pants, pea coats the whole nine. Mike was very detail oriented, he asked me what I wanted and worked with me. I originally wanted a full suit but the cost was what threw me off at first then I asked if he could make me custom pants

I have a few decent custom suits, but for my wedding this summer, I knew I wanted to wear something really special. I checked out a bunch of tailors in SF but Mike immediately impressed me with his understanding of what I was looking for. He asked a lot of good questions about what I liked and didn't like about the suits I already had and made excellent recommendations. The result is head and shoulders above any other suit I own. It feels and looks amazing. I absolutely recommend Situation Control if you're looking for top quality custom suits!

True story: I bought off-the-rack at another store once and long story short, my pants ripped at the crotch during a wedding reception. After that, I had a revelation...you get what you pay for and that's why I decided to reach out to Mike for an appointment since he specializes in unique, bespoke suits.

About six or seven weeks out from my wedding date, I started the rounds through Union Square men's wear departments. A smarter person would have started all this much earlier. On top of everything else going on, I immediately felt overwhelmed, rudderless and without a game plan.

I've known Mike for a couple years now, and I'm extremely lucky to have a suit made by him. Out of pure convenience we did everything out of Emeryville (I live down the street), so that was a major plus.
During the measuring/fitting process I dropped 20lbs. As you can imagine the sizing was much different every time I got fitted, but Mike killed it. Through the four fittings, I was confident that the suit would fit me forever. Damn suit will fit me well through 20lb swings!

I was looking to add a grey suit to my closet but I wasn't sure about a few details - what color grey, what color buttons, texture, cloth type, lapel, etc. But Mike spent the time to carefully curate and guide me through creating my own customized suit. We went over every detail and he made sure it would be something I would feel comfortable and confident about. When the final product arrived, I was amazed at how beautifully it came out.

Mike custom fitted me for my wedding day suit and I couldn't be happier. I had a general idea of what I wanted but relied heavily on his creativity to design something that fit my vision. He more than exceeded my expectations with the fit, design, and detail of my suit. It's actually the most comfortable suit I own! The turn around time for production was way quicker than I expected and he was even able to accommodate a last minute adjustment before the big day.
I would recommend him to anyone looking for custom menswear!
