At Two Rivers Animal Hospital, we offer a variety of services to care for your pet. If you have any questions or would like more information on how we can care for your pet, please contact us today. Our staff will get a chance to talk to you and see if you are having any trouble with your pet. We will also go over diet, preventative medicine, and exercise to ensure that your pet is as healthy as possible.
At Two Rivers Animal Hospital, you can expect state of the art medical care for your four-legged companions. We believe in nurturing the human-animal bond and creating a harmonious relationship between people and animals. You can expect to be greeted by a courteous receptionist, clean exam rooms, friendly doctors, and caring technicians.
Pet insurance pays, partly or in total, for veterinary treatment of the insured person's ill or injured pet. Some policies will pay out when the pet dies, or if it is lost or stolen. As veterinary medicine is increasingly employing expensive medical techniques and drugs, and owners have higher expectations for their pet's health care and standard of living than previously, the market for pet insurance has increased.
Our entire staff understands the stress of bringing your pets to the veterinarian. We even understand that there are times when it is simply too hard to come into our office. For this reason, we offer house calls to our clients. Both of our staff doctors have over twenty two years of combined experience with soft tissue surgery. Our surgical suite is well equipped to handle routine and advanced soft tissue surgical cases as well as basic orthopedic procedures. Additionally, we routinely utilize the expertise of a local boarded veterinary surgeon for more complex soft tissue or orthopedic cases.

Please, please get more professional and friendly receptionists. It is extremely disheartening to love the doctor himself, yet to get a nasty attitude and zero customer service when you call. Regardless of the day.
A few weeks ago I called saying one of our pups - 12 years old - was shaking on the floor completely disoriented - I was advised to call back in the morning even though I could have been there in two minutes and this was mid day on a weekday. No one ever even called and followed up or asked how he was. Unbelievable how unprofessional and disinterested the staff is.

Critical: Professionalism, Reliability, Value
Called asking about vaccines, told one thing and then when I called to make an appointment for vaccines I was told something completely different and then the troll answering the phone hung up on me. I guess with them you only count if you are loaded and enjoy being lied to.

This past Thursday June 10th was a terribly hard day for our family. We had to say goodbye to our most beloved Bella Boo. She was 15 years old and it was the hardest thing to do. She was the best dog ever BUT… Dr Heins and his staff are the most amazing passionate people ever. They helped us making the transition for Bella easy and comfortable. I can never say enough great things about them and never be able to thank them enough.

Dr Heins is the best!!! Always there when we need him and very caring.
I like that he doesn’t jump into taking a bunch of tests but try’s a more reasonable course of action first, and usually much cheaper.
My dog Boulder loves going there because he knows they all love him.

Hands down the best vet! We have been to others and weren't impressed. Then we met Dr. Heins. He has phenomenal bedside manner with both the animals and their owners. He listens and answers all your questions thoughtfully and respectfully. He doesn't rush through an exam or your questions because he truly wants the best for you and your pet. We love that Dr. Heins doesn't push medication or vaccines unless he feels it's the best course of action. More than anything, we love that our sometimes skittish dog is comfortable with him.

Dr.Heins and his staff are incredible. As an owner of four dogs and a foster for a rescue two rivers animal hospital makes me feel like a priority patient every time I call. Whether it’s to schedule an appointment or ask a question they are extremely responsive and attentive to each of my pets needs. I personally respect Dr. Heins and his medical guidance and options for health concerns big and small for my pets. I can't say enough about Two Rivers and Dr. Heins. Dr. Heins is knowledgeable, caring, never condescending, respectful, and willing to listen to your opinion even if he does not agree with you (I especially appreciate that!). He takes the time to explain things to you and you never feel pressured to do procedures. I was a "vet hopper" until I found Two Rivers.

We cannot say enough about Dr. Heins and his staff; professional, thorough, responsive, kind and above all, compassionate. Our beloved 14-year old family dog, otherwise healthy, suffered from an inoperable tumor in his throat. Navigating end of life care was both difficult and heartbreaking.
