Reilly's Irish Bakery has been a staple at the West Side Market since 2000. I learned my recipes from my mother-in-law who treasured her Irish heritage. Through the years, I have built on the recipes she taught me, adding ingredients and items to our selection of baked goods and savories. Today, we offer a wide array of pasties, savory pies and sweet treats.
Enjoy our popular Irish baked treats famous at the West Side Market in Cleveland, OH. Choose from delicious soda breads, shepherd's pie, scones, Scotch eggs, delightful pasties and hearty breakfast pies. Stop in to our Fairview Park bakery location or our West Side Market stand and pick up something for yourself or to share with friends and family.

Reilly's bakery is delightfully charming. I have a soft spot for Irish culture and love stopping by when I am craving a bite that will take me back to my adventures in Ireland. I recommend trying a variety of offerings, they are all wonderful. With anything from the West Side Market I recommend putting some thought on how you reheat the food you purchase (in response the negative review below.) Some Items taste MUCH better in the oven or better yet the air fryer is a perfect choice. This past weekend I stopped by to pick up a quick gift for a late Saint Patrick's day get together and

Very rarely will I give one or two stars to a local business because I realize they are just trying to survive. However, I spent a decent amount of money here for a terrible product, so I feel responsible to warn others of my experience.
Everything here looks great when you pass by and I had just got back from London and was sort of missing the terrible for you pies, pasties, etc. I couldn't resist stopping our group and insisting we did a little British style snacking. I regret that now ... and $40 later. What we got was dry, overcooked, microwave reheated food. Irish and British food is

We bought two chicken pasties and two ham breakfast pies. Inedible. The filling of the pasties had a few pieces of boiled chicken with shredded (boiled) carrot and shredded (boiled) potato. It had no onions (like the picture in their site), not even salt: absolutely tasteless. Same with the breakfast pies. We could not eat anything. Very disappointed.

You're in the West Side Market and there is food everywhere, almost literally. You have no idea what you want to eat and some of the food is raw, so you can't eat that stuff. So you walk by Reilly's Irish Bakery and there are pies and pasties and you're hungry. We talked to the woman behind the counter and asked what was the most popular. She recommended the Shepherds Pie and if I remember correctly, a Corned-Beef Pastie.
The Wife got the Shepherds Pie and it was really good. It's basically a pastry shell filled with mashed potatoes and the Shepherds pie filling

I reilly reilly reilly reilly like this place. Call me, Carly?
Wonderful Irish Bakery in the West Side Market. Full of absolutely delicious treats. They have all kinds of stuff here, and even though the Irish do not bake quite as well as the French in general, you will enjoy some of these old world treats. Especially the savoury stuff.
My favorites are the shepherd's pies and the meat pies and the pasties but I still have to try a lot more.
While you're in the WSM, get a Lemon Sugar crepe from Crepes Du Luxe, a Brat from Frank's, and some spicy jerky from J & J Czuchraj. Yes

Oh my goodness, what a treat! We enjoyed their shepherds pie, meat pie and breakfast pies this week all 4 inch pastries ready in 20 minutes at 350 from the oven but this morning I baked the "breakfast potatoes pastry" served along with some scrambled eggs. The pastry easily served two and prompted me to hunt down Reilly's on Yelp and write this post. It was "that good!" Every Sunday I make a big breakfast for the family which includes freshly cut fried potatoes. I would stop at the market weekly to replace our Sunday potatoes. I am eager to try their other products. I've walked by here dozens and dozens of times. Finally noticed the place, and was intrigued. Tried a pasty. Loved it. Tried another the following week. Yum. All flavors have been tried, and loved.
Let's talk scones. I'm a sucker for tradition. The plain buttermilk and raisin are lovely. Tried a pumpkin, and was in autumn heaven.
The lady behind the counter is friendly, and helpful. They will wrap your items to go, or warm it up for you.
The short crust is tender, flaky, perfect flavor. I'm looking forward to trying the other delicacies!

If you like Shepherd's Pie, stop by and pick a few up. They are mini (almost tart size) and are approximately 4" wide. The boyfriend said they were very tasty. They feature a lot of newspaper write-ups on their business so clearly they are doing something right. Everything is pre-cooked so all you have to do is preheat the oven to 350 degrees and pop it in for 20 minutes. Definitely will go back.
