Services
Moda eyecare offers an on-site laboratory stocked with premium lenses in order to manufacture most Glasses in less than one hour. The lens options available can be overwhelming. Also known as A no-line bifocal, progressive lenses offer clear vision at multiple distances all while carrying on the appearance of a regular lens.
There are a variety of reasons why you may prefer contact lenses over eyewear. Weather your reasoning is purely cosmetic, based off of convenience or due to a medical condition we offer a variety of contact lens solutions for your vision care needs. These lenses are comfortable to wear and can correct most prescriptions including astigmatism.
Regular Astigmatism is a normal and very frequent visual problem that is easily and accurately corrected with eye glasses or conventional contact lenses. If you have been diagnosed with keratoconus, post LASIK or PRK complications, Post RK complications, corneal ectasia, corneal trauma, pellucid marginal degeneration, or have had a corneal transplant schedule an appointment to learn which treatment option is best for you.
LASIK (laser assisted in situ keratomileusis) is a surgical procedure that uses a laser to reshape the cornea. This procedure is known for providing clear vision With little recovery time. Though Lasik surgery is a safe and effective way to treat myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism it is not recommended for everyone.
Myopia control is the use of specific treatments to slow the progression of nearsightedness in children. The benefits of slowing down nearsightedness go beyond preventing higher prescriptions or avoiding thick glasses. Higher levels of myopia have been linked to sight-threatening diseases such as retinal detachments, myopic macular degeneration, glaucoma, and cataracts.

Dr. McCarthy is kind, thoughtful, helpful, flexible and a good listener. The whole family trust her. We like the modern techniques she uses to make sure the whole eye is healthy. The entire team at Moda makes us feel welcome! Only thing not five star is the too small of a collection of eyeglasses to choose from. I always find a pair as the glasses are my kind of gorgeous, but our children seems to struggle. Dr. McCarthy has no issue letting us bring in the kids choice of frames from elsewhere and she puts the prescription glasses in.

This is the place you want with all your eye care needs. The doctor can explain all the problems you may be going thru. I am 62 years old and the doctor explained everything so I could under stand and know what to do to protect my eye sight. They are amazing from the type of tests to the fitting of contacts and glasses. All your needs and Exceptiones will be met.

Aside from the sharp aesthetic and nice location, the service I received at Moda was superb. It was my first visit and I was quickly processed as a new patient.
My appointment with Dr. McCarthy was efficient, safe and very informative. I’ve never been given so much information about my eyes and how they work from any other office I’ve visited. I left feeling educated about my eyes and prepared in knowing how to care for them.

I really like Dr McCarthy. She seems very thorough and professional, but also good with kids. The office is clean. The front desk is very responsive. They have quick availability for appointments and seem to consistently run on time. They are appropriate for the whole family and I would highly recommend.

I have been following Dr. McCarthy for probably over five years now and super stoked that she was able to open her own office a block from my house. Dr. McCarthy is very kind, approachable and always open to your questions. She cares about her patients and it shows. MODA is filled with eyeglass frames in all price ranges from Masunaga to Thierry Lasry. The office staff is responsive and friendly.

Eye exam was excelent, best equipment, Dr. was thorough and friendly making the exam very comfortable. Dr. explained my pictures thoroughly and answered any questions I had. Staff was great and friendly. Clean office great location. Only critique was most of the styles seemed very contemporary. that being said i did find two pairs that worked for me.
