Optomap by Optos is an ultra-widefield imaging system that allows us to see the back of your eye called the retina.
With myopia, nearsightedness, a person sees things more clearly close up and blurred at a distance. The eye is longer or more curved than normal, which causes light to focus in front of the back of the eye (retina). The degree of nearsightedness usually progresses for several years; eventually, it levels out.

"Bite more than you can chew" is the mission of this eye care establishment.
I've arrived 10 minutes before my appointment time. Properly filled out the paperwork.
I was taken in one of the exam rooms and waited there for one whole hour!!!
No one came to see me or to talk to me.
I decided that was enough and left the building.
It was a Saturday and they started at 9am , I was there at 10am.
How could you possibly get behind schedule if you just started working for the day??
The only reasonable explanation is to bring in as many patients as possible and they just have to wait and wait.

Excellent experience at Skowron eye Care. I hadn't had an eye exam in 16 years so it was clearly time as I am over 60 years old. I talked to a good friend of mine who is a retired eye doctor on who he would recommend and without hesitation he said Skowron. From the staff in the front office, to the doctor himself and throughout my visit it was outstanding. Skowron's team cares about their patients, the facility is clean and sanitized religiously and the clinical competency is clearly 5 stars. I intend to recommend them to anyone I talk to who needs an eye doctor.

I was working out of state in Elmhurst during the week of 10/11/21 and had injured my eye cutting material. I had called Skowron and left a voicemail before their normal working hours to let them know my situation and they immediately returned my call and had me come right to their office. No wait. The office staff is very professional and Doctor Zory Stoev was great. She made me feel at ease and was able to treat my eye. They also had me come in the following day for a follow up visit knowing that I was driving back to Michigan. I can not thank them enough. If I lived in the Elmhurst area this

I have been a patient at Skowron Eye Clinic for nearly 40 years. Throughout that period, even though I moved from the area for a period of time, I still returned as Dr. Skowron and his staff are so professional and excellent that it was worth the peace of mind. We get one set of eyes, and there is no one I would trust more with not just my eye health, but that of my entire family. Highly recommend.

I was promptly given an appointment within a week for a concern with a symptom I experienced.
