As a pilot, I know it can be hard to find the perfect glasses. We need to be able to read and interpret charts and maps, look for other aircraft and monitor electronic equipment. All of those things need to happen simultaneously! Dr Anshel was able to get me the perfect pair of sunglasses to facilitate the above. Thank you Dr Anshel! Another great visit proves that we all get older and even our eyes change!

Extremely rude and unfriendly front desk person. Doctor wanted to change my perscription to lower even though I have been the same for 16 years. I tried the new lower perscription for a week and had terrible head aches. I went back to my old perscription and returned again to inquire. I was then charged for two exams, even though the second was a result of the doctor's mistake. I came back for another, what was supposed to be brief, appointment to pick up contact lenses and the doctor had just taken another patient. Apparently this office double books patients. I will not be returning and

I had the BEST experience here today! I did not know exactly what I needed to ask for and Roxy was extremely helpful, did an amazing job in a very short period of time, and was wonderfully friendly and humorous! After I left, I got to walk around and enjoy downtown Encinitas with my amazing glasses. I highly recommend!

Me and family have been Dr. Anshel's patients for several years now. He's an expert optometrist, very professional, caring and super helpful. I always have lots of questions and he takes the time to explain and clarify. His office is managed efficiently by Roxy who is super helpful. I recommend this practice whole-heartedly with top marks.

Dr. Anshel is a great professional and very knowledgeable. He has treated me very well every time and has given me great service and advice. Staff is very friendly. Definitely the optometrist I have been looking for for years. I was already a client of him before he opened this new place. I would not go anywhere else.
