My fascination with Martial Arts began many years ago. The first-time watching Bruce Lee spin Nunchakus I was hooked. WOW! But I soon found out that those Made in China Martial Arts weapons were too heavy and awkward for most kids to use. Competing with those type of weapons for many years I was able to win several World Championships, but I was never quite thrilled with the weapons.
I wanted to make a weapon for the sport Martial Artist that was custom sized, lighter, perfectly balanced, smooth, and fast, that also looked cool. CMA Baldwin is truly one of the best karate schools out there and I would highly recommend it for children of all ages and even adults! Sensei Courtney and Sensei Alec are brilliant instructors with high expectations, but also know how to make classes fun and engaging. We consider CMA Baldwin as family. My son has been taking classes for a few years now and loves every second. If your child (or yourself) is considering karate, I highly suggest a trial at this school. You will not be disappointed!

Courtney and Alec are the best instructors, they are so passionate about teaching Martial Arts to the kids! Their main focus is building confidence, discipline, strong marital arts skills but also respect! We are huge fans and our son absolutely loves CMA Baldwin Park! He also had the best 8th bday party at their studio!

Alec and Courtney are excellent instructors. They work so well with the kids and ensure that they are having fun while improving every class. My son was so excited and proud to earn his first promotion. He wants to go and train every day because it’s such a fun, challenging, and inspirational environment. The discipline, courage, confidence and respect he is developing at CMA is top notch. I am so glad that we found such an amazing martial arts school.

This place is wonderful! From the first visit every piece of our experience has been nothing but exceptional. The registration process was pleasant and professional. The facility is clean and comfortable. The instructors are the best part of it all! Alec and Courtney are very impactful! They have absolute control over the kids. They treat them with respect and kindness and through it all instill discipline and skills and values that go beyond the physical. And most important, my kids LOVE their class!

CMA Baldwin Park is fantastic. Both my kids attend, and love it here. They actually get upset when we need to miss a class, even on Saturday mornings! The instructors are amazing people. Kind and patient, but firm and can steer students back on course without being aggressive. I know my kids' experiences here will stay with them always, and I'm very grateful. ❤

Our son has been going to CMA Baldwin Park for a number of years. And while some of the staff and instructors have changed over time the high quality training has always been consistent. They provide many fun opportunities for the kids to improve their skills, summer programs, camps and parent night outs. Good people.
