If your life could do with a significant upgrade, you are definitely not alone! All too often, we are faced with seemingly impassable roadblocks that stand between the life we are leading and the life we are seeking. In fact, wellbeing (feeling upbeat in general, liking yourself, having a positive outlook, being well connected with others, and taking your life where you want to go) is far more the exception than the rule.

At Thrive, we view your decision to seek professional guidance on the all important journey to well-being as a bold and meaningful step in the right direction. Well-being is not the fleeting experience of joy that sweeps over us when good fortune happens our way. Alternatively, well-being is not merely being "symptom free".

Dr. B's graduate research centered on how we experience and recover from stressful events. In school, Dr. B was repeatedly tasked with teaching statistics and research methodology. This experience laid the groundwork for Dr. B's ever growing appreciation for the difference between dubious research (to put it generously) and research that meets the highest standards of science.
As the saying goes, life is not a dress rehearsal. Goal achievement involves meaningful change and making such changes is typically the greatest -and arguably the most important- challenge we will ever face. A commonplace belief is that making important changes is simply a matter of "wanting it badly enough".
At thrive, we specialize in working with adults, and we currently offer individual and couple's therapy. Our fees for services are $160 for individual sessions and $180 for couples sessions. Thrive does not accept insurance; however, we do provide clients with receipts that are formatted for out-of-network insurance billing (additional information regarding this matter can be found in our FAQs section).
Fees are $160 for individual sessions, $180 for couple's sessions. Most clients pay by credit card. Because credit card companies charge us handsomely for their services, we offer a ten percent discount when clients opt to pay with cash. Virtually all therapists define an hour session as 50 minutes.
Odd to say, but even within the research literature, the definition of motivation varies quite a bit. At Thrive, we define motivation as our ability to delay gratification and stay on course while pursuing desired outcomes. Desired outcomes can range from achieving meaningful personal goals to satisfying simple wants.

Dr. Bramlette is the best therapist I've used out of several tried over a decade. I believe the reasons are as follows:
1) Strong intellectual background in evidence-based research, particularly in Cognitive Behavioral Theory. He has a respectable PhD, and has taught courses in psychology as a university professor. By contrast, when I previously used therapists with a less sophisticated or extensive grasp of theory, the style of therapy tended to be more undirected and less helpful in terms of orienting me toward productive questions and answers.
2) Adeptness at applying his theoretical knowledge
