Aida M. Galan DMD was born and raised in the Republic of Panama. With over 20 years of experience in the dental field, one can say Dr. Galan has practically dedicated her life to dentistry. Dr. Galan began her career in dentistry in 1989 and worked hard to put herself through school until she graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Dental Medicine in May of 2002.
In this FAQ section, we have answered all the questions that our patients generally ask us. If you have a question that is not answered below, feel free to give us a call. Patients can snore due to a variety of obstructions in the airway. Based on your self-report of snoring and an evaluation of your airway, you snoring is likely due to loose tissue in your soft palate at the back of your mouth that vibrates when you breathe during sleep.

Over the years, I've gone to multiple different dental offices Galan Dental is, BY FAR, the best!! their staff is amazing, Grace the hygienist was courteous, knowledgeable and professional. Dr. Galan was cautiously careful always keeping aware of how I was doing.... super-efficient. and friendly! made this treatment experience by far the best couldn't be happier with the care of my teeth, crowns and fillings. The staff are all incredibly friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is clean, comfortable and tastfully decorated.
Dr. Galan herself is very engaging and seems to truly care about your health and wellbeing on an individual level. I've never had a more thorough dental exam!
I had issues with my appointment intermediary (LHI for all you reservists out there), but they were able to work with me anyways. It says a lot about how people handle a situation when things don't go perfect. Galan dental is a great example of the right way to handle this

My first visit to Dr Galan’s office was exceptional. The whole experience from start to finish made me feel comfortable and in good hands. The new office is very clean and rooms were private. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful with any questions regarding insurance and what I could expect during and after my visit. Having been a little wary about dental offices, especially during a pandemic, this took me a little while to pluck up the courage to set up. Booking an appointment was easy, with flexible times, very easy to complete new forms and a billion reminders so I definitely wouldn’t forget. The office is high tech and check in was seamless, all staff were delightful and I get in very safe and thorough hands. I’ve also been allowed time to consider any next steps and the staff were very transparent and collaborative. Would highly recommend to anyone unhappy with their provider or looking for an upgrade

When I first went to her it was for orthodonture. I already had a regular dentist but he did not do braces, so I went to Dr Galan for this service. My experience with Galan dental has been by far the greatest dental experience ever. I was early, and was welcomed in 20 minutes before my appointment. The staff were genuinely kind and friendly. I enjoyed a friendly conversation with each of the individuals I encountered. Dr. Galan, was extremely personable and knowledgeable. Aside from the recommendations of a dentist, she recommended external techniques to assist me with health wellness. I will be making Galan Dental my primary dental office. I went in for a clean, a filling for a cavity , and to shave down my two from teeth. The experience was amazing. I have never had such a good cleaning before! I normally don't go to Galan Dental but i am so glad i did. The Doc there did a cleaning that's never been done at my usual place. Galan Dental found cavities that have been there for years when my usual dentist just takes a little look and tells me i'm good. Galan Dental always made sure i was comfortable and not in any pain while doing the filling! I highly recommend this place!

The iPad-based check-in procedure was very convenient.
The hygienist, Claudia, was experienced and very friendly, took X-rays and performed a very thorough cleaning and measurement of my gums.

Called after receiving a flyer to make appt for my 94 yo dad. Mentioned to them about his age, that he was in wheelchair and confirmed they had access for him. She confirmed they were on 1st floor and asked about his preference for service, if he could use the dental chair. That was good. I was their regular patient going there for cleanings, and simple fillings. I was under the impression that she was performing unnecessary treatments since evrytime I went there I was told to come back again to fix something else. For example I went for simple cleanings they forced me to have deep cleanings, since the insurance does not cover it I paid extra, they also did and xray everytime I went there which was every 3 months or so. Imagine the amount of radiation I was exposed to.

Dr. Galan is the best dentist I have ever been to, and I have been to several (thanks to not getting good dental hygiene education growing up).
I can trust her judgement and feel that she has my best interest at heart when giving me options for treatment.
She has a very clean office which makes me feel at ease about the things that go in my mouth.

Dr. Galan has been my dentist now for the past 6 years. She's been amazing! Not only is she a great dentist, but she truly cares about each and every one of her patients. I love how her hours fit my family's busy schedule and that she even offers Saturday appointments if your work week is too crazy. My entire family loves Dr. Galan including my two little girls whom once feared going to the dentist. Now they can't wait to see her because they know they're in gentle hands.
