Upon inspection below, they discovered the engine had thrown a conrod causing severe damage to the engine block. When a cast iron component is broken or cracked as a result of misuse or overload, a decision must be made whether to repair or replace the cast iron component. If the decision is made to repair the component, one should consider using the cold stitching process as performed by Metal Surgery.
Metal Surgery Milwaukee Ltd. specializes in gear repairs onsite or in our facility. Metal Surgery has lifting capacity to handle any size gear in our shop with a lifting capacity of 160,000 lbs. With more than 2 dozen gears repaired Metal Surgery has the expertise to handle any repair. Warranty is offered for most gear repairs depending on the terms and conditions of the warranty.
