Our restaurant, Buckboard BBQ & Grill, is located in the city of Covina, CA, where we feature "Santa Maria Style" barbecue, along with other wonderful menu items, like our 'hickory smoked ribs' and award winning 'Buckboard Chili'. Since 1991, we have had the privilege of serving our friends and clients that same 'authentic' and 'traditional' "Santa Maria Style" barbecue.
You need far more than great food to pull off a successful event. You expect your caterer to show up on time, leave nothing behind and make sure there's plenty of food. Self-serve place. We sat a while until we figured out we had to walk up & order. The Tri-tip was delicious. The ladies restroom was out of handsoap; I told them but it never got refilled while we were there. I think we were expected to use the hand sanitizer in the common area outside of the restrooms. This means door knobs were not very clean ; /

Spent $27 for shredded chicken sandwich which on the website says it comes with fries and fountain drink and the girl at there didnât gave me any of my drinks because she said it was only from Monday to Friday ??? Then I said why doesnât it says in the website so everyone could know then she said it somewhere I showed her their website and her words were â i donât what to tell youâ instead of just giving my drinks. Is my first time here and definitely my last . Food is super overpriced and the service is horrible

Nice selection on menu. Try the sirloin tip meat. Cook pretty good had some nice flavoring and a good bite. The pepperoni pizza did not have the generic taste. They have different specials for each day of the week. Friday's are brisket day. For some good BBQ it's a whole lot better than those guys with the big yellow sign popping up everywhere.

I had the tri tip fries and ordered a medium pepperoni pizza. This place is a combination of Pizza Chalet and Buckboard BBQ. The tri tip was very good and the portions on my fries amazing. First the amount of meat you get at the price is a hella good deal. The pizza taste as good as the first time I had it back in 1989. Outstanding service and friendly atmosphere. Bring back the pin ball games.

This place was delicious! we got a family 4 pack and all 4 of us were filled up! we even took a small portion to go! wish they gave out more beans, but the ribs were fall off the bone delicious! and the bbq chicken is a must try! and best part in my opinion was the BBQ sauce was not overwhelming at all, you could taste it but it complimented the meats just how you'd like it to.
