I've been overweight for most of my life and since starting Sam's program, my entire lifestyle has changed.

This program is a holistic approach. We explore concerns specific to you and your body and discover the tools you need for a lifetime of balance. Food changes everything. As your daily diet changes, your body changes and your happiness improves. You will also address other aspects of your life that affects your health such as stress, physical activity, relationship, spirituality, time management, etc.
Do you want to ensure that you feed your family the best nutrition possible? After all, we are what we eat and children especially need proper nutrition. What we eat actually changes our DNA. Studies show that our food and lifestyle dictates 70 - 90% of our health; genetics is only a small contributing factor.

I am 67 years old. I began working with Samantha after receiving some bad news from my doctor regarding my liver function. She provided excellent tools and support to make the dietary and lifestyle changes I needed. Of course it didn't hurt that I was willing to follow her advice, and I did. Within a month my blood work came back within in a normal range and I even lost some weight. I continued receiving coaching from Samantha and now I have lost 25 pounds and have gained confidence and improved self esteem. Sam is one of the best coaches I ever had. She not only helped me lean towards a healthier lifestyle, but has also shut down most of my cravings for junk food. I have also been a lot more productive throughout the day and I no longer sleep in late. She has a huge amount of tools ready for you to use in regards to cooking tutorials, health guides, and more. Sam has a great intuitive way, and an understanding of what her client needs beyond just being told to "eat this, not that." She has a wide array of tools and understanding at her disposal to help get at the root causes of what might be getting in the way of eating healthier. I am now on a path to being healthier in ways that go beyond my eating habits. This was well worth the investment of time and money!

Sam did a workshop at our company and then started a group and some individual training. As a company, we contributed financially to all employees who were interested in getting healthier and making some lifestyle changes. I feel healthy/happy employees contribute to our success as a company.

Sam is passionate about affecting change but she has an amazing calm approach on how to help employees make lasting changes. She was encouraging, understanding, patient and persistent. Sam is the best food therapist/counselor. She listens, encourages, teaches with compassion and wise understanding in all aspects of nutrition. It's a treat to personal growth and she was a gift to ourselves to be better and learn without pressure.

Sam is great and fun and beneficial!!!!

I have completed two series from Sam. First in a group and next with my husband. Al lost 25 pounds and we cut down on coffee, meat, alcohol, and we are still getting healthier. But the real benefit of Sam is her non threatening compassion and understanding and guidance as she quietly teaches and leads.

We are 70 and 76......so it's never too late to get it right.

I just started Sam's program but I'm already in love. She uses a holistic approach so right away I realized that all areas of my life are connected to my health and symptoms. Some of the information seems obvious and simple, which is all the more reason to wonder why I haven't been doing it?! Sam is that magic coach who will somehow inspire you to make life changes, without being patronizing or condescending. Her approach is all about empowering you to find what works for you and brings out your best self.

I was diagnosed with GERD in 2008, and had a hard time accepting that diagnosis

I would highly recommend Sam! It's been 6 months of learning and replacing unhealthy eating and schedule habits in order to set up a better lifestyle and food knowledge.
Sam was incredibly informative, gave me options to focus on areas of food that affect me, and I came home each new week with a new adjustment to my life. I will continue to make adjustments and research on food for the rest of my life.
Anyway looking to truly learn about food, it's effects, your surrounding life aspects that tie directly to your food consumption, I would say go to Sam.

Sam was a joy to work with. It completely changed my relationship with food. I was able to drop 20 pounds in just a few months and become a much happier and healthy person. Sam really helped my wife and I view food and exercise differently. It was never about counting calories and spending hours in the gym each week. It was more about experiencing and enjoying life and food. She was so flexible with her scheduling. Sam was both encouraging, inspiring, and fun to work with. I have been working with Sam for almost four months now. I am so thankful I found her on yelp! I have struggled with severe stomach pains for many years now and have always been confused about what foods are right for me. Doctors would always just hand me lists of good and bad foods and it was always very confusing. I highly recommend Sam and Happy Food for anyone who is looking to improve their relationship with food and eating, and also lose weight and increase their physical fitness. The name is really true to what she practices. I had always thought of nutritional programs as taking away "bad" foods and forcing myself to eat "good foods." Sam emphasized the importance of listening to my body's needs and ensuring that I get plenty of yummy and nutritious foods that I truly enjoy eating. I have never enjoyed eating a lot of raw vegetables, so a lot of salads don't work for me

I met with Sam a while back. I was offered a "healing" and a "support" system for nutrition. I wasn't sure what that meant, but I thought I'd give it a try because she seemed genuine!

During our meeting I received no answers to my questions. After she finished asking her variety of personal questions, I was still unsure what she offered or how she could help. I was then asked to sign-up for a paid "package".

Visited Samantha and really impressed by not only her knowledge of nutrition and foods but also the psychology of healthful eating and living which is the foundation for health and wellness. You can tell right away that Samantha genuinely listens to you and tries to understand you so she can give the the exact solution you need rather than a cookie cutter approach. I was hesitant to work with Sam but after my first meeting I knew she could help me. I was struggling with low energy, I was having breathing difficulties, depression, and anxiety. I never knew how much what we eat can affect us. I thought I was living a healthy life but after working with Sam she helped me to realize I had certain allergies that were keeping me from becoming better. After 6 months my mind is clearer, I have more energy, I can take deep breaths and run better and faster, I no longer struggle with depressions or anxiety anymore :)

I've been watching my weight steadily increase over the years. I drew the line in the ground saying I wouldn't cross XX lbs. Low and behold I would cross it each time I set a new line. I finally hit 221 lbs and said that's it, I need to do something about it.

I've been working with Sam for about 3 months now, and she's been awesome. She's extremely knowledgeable, and she's the perfect balance of holding me accountable (to my own goals), but also knowing when to have patience with me. :)

For example, I have an extremely busy schedule & I don't like cooking (not an ideal client for a health counselor!), so Sam has gone above & beyond to bring me easy healthy recipes, and she's pushed me out of my comfort zone to try new things... but she doesn't freak out if I eat a cookie.
