On my recent visit, Dr. Nixon and Dermatology Specialists of Charlotte staff were both friendly and professional. I have been a patient there for many years and have never been disappointed on regular scan exams or on visits such as this one for the evaluation & treatment of several "suspect" growths. Service and convenience are always top notch.

Great first visit… nice front desk/staff……..BUT second visit for the exact same procedure was VERY different!! It was with a NEW doctor there, Dr. Kelly Wood who, while performing a repeat procedure on my finger “decided” to over charge and bill my insurance for an additional visit (on the exact same day/time) of which included a $100+ for a “callus” conversation on my foot?! Huh? This code, which most major insurances do not cover included an 15 minute assessment of a “callus”, diagnosis, treatment and management. Nothing was assessed and I wanted answers. I called and spoke

I have been a patient at DSC for roughly 8 years. I have seen so many physicians and front desk staff come and go, it's hard to keep up. It explains why they never updated my records to indicate I have had a new address since 2014 which then led to payment issues because they were sending mail to a very old address and never once called me to ask why I wasn't responding to my mail. Not to mention, I was asked today if they could make a copy of my ID which they should already have had on file considering they ask for it everytime I visit. The visit with the physician wasn't any better. She is fairly

My family and I have been patients of Dermatology Specialists of Charlotte for about 10 years. I recently purchased two products from them. Once home, I realized that one of them, an expensive face serum, had an expiration date of December 2021, and we are at the end of September. I went back the next morning to exchange it, thinking it was an honest mistake, but the office manager categorically refused, based on their Final Sale policy. She argued that the serum hasn't expired yet and that they can sell it until the expiration date. It is basically the office's policy to use expiration dates as

I’ve sent manny messages on patient portal, made phone calls, and even left a voicemail over the last week. No one has answered or gotten back to me. I’ve been off my medication for a week now because I can’t get in touch with anyone. I’ve had mostly good experiences until recently. I’m getting frustrated, to say the least. It’s looking like I might have to drive 45 mins one way just to get one question answered...

Courteous and professional staff for my first appointment and then follow up one a month later. Each visit was 15 -20 minutes; the first ended with psoriasis prescription and the second included a single skin lesion scrape when the P A noticed the growth on my arm. All went OK. And then the billings. The practice billed my insurance $699 for the two visits, who paid a seemingly reasonable $276 for services rendered. The lesion was sent to lab for biopsy which was reimbursed $215 by insurance on their billing of $279. Total charges of $978 for which the patient (me) was billed by the practice and

I've been seeing dermatologists for 28 yrs. for psoriasis and this was by far my worst experience all around. They had no interest in what worked for me in the past and hit me hard in the wallet for the 1hr of waiting in examination, 3 minutes of consultation., and left with nothing but a payment. I'm driving almost 2 hours back to my old dermatologist I had before I moved.
