A Pilates Private session is one-on-one time with your instructor. The focus is on your body and your needs. In addition to using the Pilates Reformer and Tower apparatus that is typical in Pilates classes, your instructor will employ other Pilates apparatus to challenge you in new ways. A private session is a great way to progress more quickly or to experience a breakthrough, release long held tension, or correct an imbalance.
A semi-private Pilates session (also called a duet session) is setup with you and one other person and your instructor. Clients usually set up a semi-private session with a spouse or friend. The session will often have the two of you doing the same exercises, but your instructor can adjust the difficulty according to each person.
