I would not send a loved one here again. My dad was admitted after a stroke and a number of brain surgeries. They said he was not progressing and sent him home weak and dehydrated. They did not send the resources or equipment they promised. Their assessment has made the process of getting my dad into further rehab much more complicated. He has since shown good progress but would have benefitted greatly from regular PT and nursing care. He was badly cared for and inaccurately assessed.

I worked with Pradeep Muley, administrator, for almost two years. I have never seen such a kind, caring, and safety-conscious leader. He asked me to assist him with interviewing employees so he could better understand how to respond to employee concerns and needs. If I had to place my mother in a nursing home, I would feel confident placing her at Alamitos West, knowing that Pradeep and, Marilyn Elgincolin, RN, Director of Nursing, were overseeing her care and staff. They have been an effective team for many years. Pradeep works longer and harder than any leader I have ever known.

Unfortunate to hear that they dismiss a genuinely sweet employee. Wrongful termination by Pradeep the executive director, no sympathy or empathy. Left my friend without a job after she resigned and worked her last day at her pervious employer. She was unable to make the second day of her orientation due to her coverage calling off last minute, and being the exceptional nurse that she is, didn't want her patients to go without care. She called ahead of time to let them know she couldn't make it for orientation, they agreed gave another scheduled day, only to recieve a voicemail a few hours later

My grandma lives here and I like how I get to visit and stay with her for hours at a time. The parking is decent. First off, every moment I get with my grandma reminds me of the days when it was just me and her with her rambling about superstitions, stories, and advice...she was mostly my caretaker growing up while mom worked, so being with her made me appreciate her stories. It also makes me happy to visit and witness the compassion SOME nurses and CNA's have. I give lots of credit to the CNA's...I witnessed one CNA really bonding and making her patient smile in the dining room today, and she

I have a friend here rehabing from a broken shoulder. She has been a patient for over 3 months and recently I ran into her at our local bar singing drinking and dancing. How is it that a patient is allowed out of the hospital to party at the local bar? I called and spoke to the charge nurse and she said she could have had a pass if she was released to a responsible party. The person that picked her up is a woman that recently got her 3rd DUI guess thats responsible. Its really great to see what are tax dollars are paying for when you can go out and party at the bar at night and then return to the

My father was sent to Alamitos West Health Care Center after he has a bed sore and pneumonia and had been hospitalized a few days at Long Beach Memorial Hospital. They kept him doped up, did not listen to him about his leg pain, covered up his foot, and refused to send him to the hospital when I told them his leg was cold and bluish. I asked if he had gangerine
and the head nurse said no. She refused to let me call an ambulance to take him to a hospital. I tried to contact his doctors, but to no avail. Finally a doctor checked him. His covered up foot was black! He had less than two weeks to live

I brought my mom here after a horrible experience at Regency Oaks in Long Beach. This place was wonderful!!!!! Not only did they take care of the pressure sore my mom got at Regency Oaks, but they also got my mom up walking and she was able to go home after only 3 months. Everyone there is wonderful!!! They went above and beyond to help with whatever she needed and whenever she called for someone to help her, they were there right away, I think the longest she ever had to wait for someone was maybe 15 minutes. If I could give them more then 5 stars I most certainly would!!! Thank you to everyone
