Our DNA, time spent in the sun and the natural process of growing older all express their traits through our skin. For most of history, the signs of aging were our "time stamps, " and they showed themselves through discoloration, uneven skin tone, sagging skin, and wrinkles. Treatments now exist to reduce age spots and freckles, skin laxity, unsightly veins and other signs of aging on our faces and body.
CoolSculpting(R) is a non-surgical fat reduction procedure that does not require any downtime. Using a technology called cryolipolysis, fat cells are destroyed by freezing fat cells. The FDA has given CoolSculpting clearance to safely treat stubborn pockets of fat, for both women and men, on nine areas of the body.
Our injectors are board-certified dermatologists who understand aging skin and all skin types. Neuromodulators are a very popular, temporary anti-aging solution for treating dynamic wrinkles & fine lines especially evident in the forehead, between the brows (glabellar region) and around the eyes (crow's feet).
While significantly minimizing your exposure to sunlight may seem difficult, taking the proper precautions to keep your skin protected is essential to your health. Using sunscreen daily, avoiding sunburns, keeping infants and children away from UVA and UVB rays, staying out of the sun between the hours of 10:00 am and 4:00 pm, seeking shade when possible, and refraining from tanning beds can help reduce the risk of developing skin cancer.
Southern Dermatology's highly specialized Dermatologists are Fellows of the American Society for Mohs Surgery. Challgren, M.D. are fellows of the American Society for Mohs Surgery.
