We encourage preventative care for our senior pets to help them remain healthy and happy as they grow older.
Behavior modification in an unruly pet is not a process that happens overnight. Changing a pet's behaviors will require an ongoing and consistent routine of positive reinforcement and, in some cases, prescription medication to build better habits and allow you to strengthen your bond.

If you are struggling to manage your cat or dog's behavior at home, Reed Animal Hospital can help you identify the source of bad behaviors to create a specialized behavior modification program that will work for your pet.Behavioral Problems in dogs there are a variety of situations that may prompt you to seek behavior modification for your pet.
Dental disease is one of the most common diseases that we see in our pets, so at Reed Animal Hospital our main goal is prevention. An advanced dental disease can cause heart, liver, kidney, or lung complications, therefore we strive to take a proactive approach early, including dental hygiene, diet, and dental cleanings.
Non-anesthetic dental cleanings are often a great alternative for our senior pets, or for pets who are not candidates for general anesthesia. At Reed Animal Hospital with locations in Campbell and Saratoga, we utilize non-anesthetic dentistry done by technicians that are specially trained to perform a safe and thorough dental cleaning on your pet without the use of anesthesia.

Really strange experience. Just got a new puppy. They're nearby my home. Went by to talk to the office about what pet insurance to get and get a feel for the place however they wouldn't unlock the door and left me standing outside in the rain for 10 minutes. I finally left and just thought that was the craziest experience ever for an animal hospital or veterinarian.

I have a portuguese water dog puppy who needed her shots and puppy check up. I had taken her to Santa Clara Pet Hospital for her 1st visit and had the worst experience. I told myself I'd never take her back there, and a friend (shoutout to Steve the baseball guy!) recommended Reed's. NIGHT. AND. DAY difference! The staff were friendly; they explained how the pandemic protocol worked, apologized for a long wait and offered both me and my puppy water as we waited. We were together the whole time, which I was thrilled about... the other place separated me and my tiny puppy for her first Dr visit and

Do NOT try this vet. The last 3 times my dog was sick they couldn't take her and wanted me to go to emergency. The doctors know their stuff, but you simply can't get in when you need them. In one case, my dog literally would have died if my neighbor's vet couldn't take her in. Plus people are clustered in parking lot waiting on hold for long times. One last thing. When my previous pet was being put down, the clerk came in and demanded payment as it was happening. Stay clear of this office. When you n eed them, they are not there for you despite their hype.

The staff and Dr Armer are wonderful. We have a fear aggressive dog. He wore a muzzle but they made sure that there was no other dogs around and took us straight to a room. Dr Armer was quiet, gentle and very patient. Because of this, Dr Armer was able to exam him in the room with me. Then the staff took in the back for his vaccines. I really appreciated the time and effort they took to make me and my dog very comfortable.

Lovely vet hospital. My dog's teeth got professionally cleaned there and they did a wonderful job. We also went here when my cat got sick, and the main vet is great.

We just moved to Cali about 5 months ago and had our dog checked before we left. But, he ended up getting a bloody ear. I called around (sunday) to so many different places but they were all not taking any new patients. I called Reed Animal hospital in Campbell but they told me to call this Saratoga office. They were able to double book me an appointment on monday so I didn't have to take Aster to the emergency vet where it was 3x more expensive. They said that I would have to wait an hour but I was just so grateful they could get us in, even if it was double booking + a longer wait. This

Terrible customer service!! The girl with black dreads came out to meet me to bring me into the office. She asked if this was Ellie I said yes then the next words to me was can you shorten her lease. No greeting no nothing. Then once inside her attitude with the questioning made me fed up that I couldn't take it so I left before meeting the vet. Made me think I cannot trust this place with my baby's care. I've been the VCA they are very friendly over there. Also what annoyed me was they asked me to change my original appt time. Called me the day before to confirm. I confirmed.

I just had a very bad experience with Reed Animal Hospital. I took my dog there because she was repeatedly sneezing. This began on the holiday weekend. I got a quote from the emergency vet of 600 to 1000. this was emergency vet, weekend prices. I decided to wait for regular hours to save money and not at an emergency vet. Reed Animal Hospital charged $1,000 for the same procedure. The vet found nothing wrong with her. She is still sneezing. She cried all the way home and was terribly thirsty. I can only assume that the $1,000 charge did not include water.

I very rarely write reviews but today's visit to Reed Animal Hospital, in Campbell, sparked my need to acknowledge a couple of very special people. We saw Dr. Anthony today and WoW is she awesome!! She spent quality time with my senior dog (at one point was down on the floor with her observing and helping her), reviewed records & medications, answered all of my questions, discussed various treatment options and provided recommendations. She was so thorough and gentle. I highly recommend Dr. Anthony, you will be so impressed, such a considerate person!!!

Next I would like to thank

Dr.Reed and his team save the day again! Today, Sunday August 22, we had an emergency with our German Shepherd. The team was able to make time to evaluate and care for her. They did not rush us, and we felt very heard and cared for. Even on a hectic and busy Sunday. Wonderful experience everytime we come here. Knowledgeable, and caring staff. Thank you Dr.Reed and Team!

I trust Dr. Reed implicitly. We have been going to him for over 15 years with 3 different dogs. He is so caring and knowledgeable. The other vets are good too but I must say I cannot comment specifically because since COVID we have not had much personal interaction with them but our dogs are always well taken care of at both the Campbell and Saratoga locations.

I've moved around a lot, and had to go through many vets, including other vets in the area (like Alpha Animal, Animal Medical Center, etc). Finding a good vet is pretty hard.. I feel like most of them just try to take your money, and don't work together with you to fix what is wrong while also minimizing cost. The vets at Reed are some of the good ones, especially Amanda (Dr. Anthony). She was very patient with explaining all of the possibilities for treatment, while also trying to bring down overall cost of prescriptions for me. It's really reassuring to feel like the vet is on

My daughter's puppy started limping and crying during a visit to San Jose. Reed Animal Hospital found an appoint for him next day. Dr Anthony was wonderful and very thorough. She even had a visiting Ortho Surgeon check the puppy out for a second opinion.

The entire staff was professional, friendly and efficient. When my daughter moves back, we will definitely choose Dr. Anthony and Reed Animal Hospital as her vet.

Dr. Reed saved my kitten! My kitten got very ill and Friday evening I learned that she would need emergency surgery or else she would not survive. Saturday morning I was on the hunt for any veterinarian who would save our kitten. Many vets/clinics were too booked with regular appointments and would not take on the life-saving procedure and the specialty hospitals were looking for $10-$15K for the surgery and pre/post-op care. Within 1 hour of contacting the Reed Animal Hospital, Dr. Reed accepted us into his already busy Saturday schedule. He was kind, attentive, knowledgable and completed the

Brought my little dog in for treatment for a dew claw injury in 2020. Tried treating it at home. Unfortunately she re-injured it to the extent of requiring removal.

Dr. Johnson, the resident specialist, performed the procedure. She patiently answered all my questions & put my mind at ease before I consented to the surgery. The staff were warm, kind & patient with my tiny girl. Fees were reasonable. Surgery handled in a timely manner. COVID safety protocols in place.

My little fur baby's paw healed very nicely. I'm happy with the care she received & would refer others

This place is not a good place to take your dog. The staff is all cool except the doctors. they act entitled and are not willing to listen to the customer and respect them. I have had 3 bad experiences here with doctors specifically. Also every time I ask for anything like a copy of the ultra sound they never give it to me. they just want your money and do not care about your animal. If they gave a curtesy text or call before an appointment that would be nice. I got a text once from another reed animal hospital saying your appointment is tomorrow. then I called and told them I have never been to

My dog was neutered at the office in Saratoga. I had changed the original appointment to come in for the post-op check up and take out the stitches, and rescheduled it to a different day. I received a voicemail from Reed Animal Hospital Campbell location giving me an appointment reminder for the original, now incorrect, appointment. I called back and first confirmed that my appointment was at the Saratoga location, and not the Campbell location. Their response "Yes it's at Saratoga, we just make the reminder calls." I let them know I had called to change the appointment to a later

I cannot recommend this place enough. The staff / technicians / doctor here are absolutely stellar, not to mention having very good COVID protocols in place for their patients*

I came here to update Remy's shots, as well as to get a general wellness exam. Dr. Johnson was very kind and informative over the phone regarding Remy's status. However, Remy bit a towel during the exam, and her incisor fell out, leaving a nasal fistula. It was alarming, but also a blessing in disguise, because I was concerned with her dental work for some time now but have been really hesitant to put her under

We bought the puppy package from them which was a good value for what you get however that's pretty much when our pleasant experience stopped.

We were disappointed with the quality of care we received for our puppy. The information or lack thereof caused more problems. We put our pup on a chicken and rice diet and after a few days saw a worse response from our pup than what we started with. When we reached out on day 3 and then day 5 the staff just told us to keep her on it. We were later told by the clinic we should have just stopped at day 3. Turns out she has a chicken allergy (all which

Dr Reed and staff are attentive, thorough and truly care about the wellbeing of your dog.
I have a rescue who is anxious around strangers. Dr Reed was thoughtful enough to bring the dog outside (COVID-19 times) and complete his examine with us present from the trunk of our Jeep. He remembered this upon our second visit and came outside to do his entire examine, explaining that he didn’t want my dog to experience any anxiety.
My dog had an infection that another vet couldn’t fix. Dr Reed took cultures and showed me results of what medications would combat his illness. He even had me text him

This place use to be great, but my last few experiences with the team at the Campbell location just seemed off. I've just figured it was a bad day but after calling today and asking for help with a prescription for food that normally would get shipped directly from Reed's but it has been back ordered for several months, seemed like I was being an inconvenience to the person that answered the phone, that had two other emergencies to tend too.

My thinking, if you have clients that order prescription dog food from you and you guys are back ordered, we obviously have to get the food elsewhere

Pretty dismal customer service experiences with this location...

I'm not a fan of places where the front desk picks up the phone and makes you wait until they are done laughing and playing around with their co-workers until they actually acknowledge you. It's happened many times when I've called. It's unprofessional and rude. Especially when you're a grown adult.

I needed a medication which required them to fax the Saratoga Office. I guess they couldn't call them instead? Despite calling several times about the much needed medication they still forced me to wait

He created a soothing and gentle departure for Scarlett. His soothing demeanor helped ease the pain and grief I was feeling. I'm not usually one who writes Yelp reviews, but I felt compelled

I've been bringing my Eve here for over a year now, and her brother Wall-e. The staff is simply amazing. I've done every thing from have my pets be seen for routine vaccinations, nail trims, spay, and boarding when my husband and I travel.

The front desk and techs I adore, they treat my babies like their own and I'm quite an anxious pet owner sand they're very patient with me when I have a pet emergency.

Dr. Armer is fantastic and responsive as well. I moved to Sunnyvale recently and still drive to this location every time something is needed.

I've been coming to this hospital for all four of my pets for at least the last 5 years. Things were going pretty well until the second location opened up and Dr. Reed got busy so I started seeing other doctors instead. I had a less than positive experience with one of the other doctors because she had ran multiple unnecessary tests to try and figure out what the problem was with my dog. Since my sister is a vet, she told me to ask for certain tests which lead directly to the answer of my dog's illness. I even finally got an appointment with Dr. Reed and he was confused why the other
