Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.
Many who have undergone the emotional strain of arranging a funeral within hours of losing a loved one have made the choice to pre-plan their own funeral. Doing so lifts the burden from their loved ones by relieving decision-making pressure at a time of grief and emotional stress. Funeral arrangements are a deeply personal choice.
Most of us are not prepared to plan and carry out a funeral ceremony for someone we love. And so much of the information available on this critically important subject fails to focus on what is most important: having a personalized, meaningful funeral that helps families and friends begin the healing process of mourning after the death of someone we love.

We lost a dear family member. He was young and his death was shocking. Our family has used Broomhead before. We anticipated great treatment. I do not know all the details of the service, but I will share what I observed. First, the day before we were told the funeral was moved from 12 to 1 due to scheduling conflict. Then, the day of service we were told the building of the service was moved due to another viewing. We requested a private family meeting before the open service. 10 minutes to end of our meeting, when his father (my father in law) was giving his parting words, the director walks in

Had a funeral for my father at Broomhead. Workers compensation was going to cover a certain amount of the funeral expense. In the planning meeting, we were not given any cost estimates but we're assured that this number from WCF would be more than adequate to cover everything.
Service went as well as we could hope, but nearly 2 months later and we get a call saying that we owe over $3k above and beyond what WCF covered. Feels like they're adding insult to injury.
Recommend getting a cost estimate documented up front and don't rely on empty assurances from Broomhead.

Broomhead Funeral Home made the process smooth and easy, even at such a difficult time. They also had more affordable prices than other competitors. Ceasar and Jeff were fantastic and answered all of my questions, along with going above and beyond to research answers to unknown questions. Thank you all so much.

The owners and employees of Broomhead Funeral Home are the nicest, compassionate, caring people I've ever done business with. I used them for my husband, and just last week for my Mother, and they comforted me and my family through our grief. The service was so beautiful; I can't praise them enough. Phyllis Morris

Caesar and Laura are both there as family. They are both very kind, hardworking, put people first before themselves and so many more amazing things. We had the opportunity to work with them as they helped my family with my cousin passing. They have so many qualities that will help someone through this tough time and they treat everyone just like family! I would recommend anyone to Broomhead Funeral Home!
