Mr. George A. Jenkins founded Jenkins Mortuary in 1915 with the phone number of 222, and was available to families 24 hours a day. Mr. Jenkins offered both horse-drawn and automobile hearses in the early years. His son-in-law, Vaughn C. Soffe, joined the business in 1938; thus, the blended name of Jenkins-Soffe.

I am so grateful to the staff at Jenkins-Soffe for the wonderful and comforting service they provided at my dad’s passing. It is obvious that they genuinely cared about us as we experienced this tender time. All the members of the staff are willing to do everything to make sure the needs of the family are met, and the quality of all they do is at the highest level. I would definitely recommend Jenkins-Soffe to anyone who needs their services.

If I could give a zero star rating I absolutely would. The experience my friend recently had to endure with this funeral home is appalling! She lost her husband due to Covid and when she asked for him to be transferred to another funeral home because of the way they handled him, they refused to release his body in order to be paid for a something she never authorized the home to do. Shame on Jenkins-Soffe for their despicable actions. I will tell everyone I come into contact with to never use this mortuary. And as a long time resident of Murray, I hope to have a long time to spread this unfortunate

During the stressful time when a loved one dies, it is so comforting to have a funeral home and directors to ease the burden and the pain. Jenkins-Soffe was incredible as they helped us work through all the myriad details involved with a funeral. It is because of their care and concern for us that the services were everything we hoped for and wanted. Their "after care" service is exceptional. It helped us sort through and process the necessary paperwork that is required. Thank you for all our help and your kindness as we worked through this challenge.

We had an incredible experience (as much as you can considering the nature of why). Jordan was our funeral director and he was helpful, compassionate, and patient. We were treated so amazing from our very first meeting, to the after care specialist!
They are so personal, and think of every little detail to make burying a loved one so special. We could not have been in better hands while pulling together a service for our mother. Thanks for making this painful time much easier on us.
We appreciate the compassion you put into your services!

This is the most caring family owned and operated funeral home in the State of Utah. The owners are involved with all daily activities and personally attend to every detail with each family. One of their employees Roger Wilcox has worked there over 45 years and is the most experienced funeral director in the entire state. His preparations of the body are second to none and families have expressed how great that their family members look after an extended illness or even an accident. I trust their 100 plus family owned and operated years of experience I totally trust and value their integrity to

My grandmother passed away and Jenkins-Soffe was amazing to work with. Jordan went above and beyond to make sure we had all our needs met. Everything went so smoothly. One of our main concerns was that my grandmother looked pretty for the viewing. A handful of people including my grandpa (his wife) mentioned how beautiful and peaceful she looked. I would say that’s a win!! Thank you Jordan for all your help!!

My father passed away at home sooner than we expected. We contacted Jenkins-Soffe to let them know that that we needed them to by at 3:30 pm and they were there as requested. They were more than helpful in answering the many questions that we had.
They were very respectful in the way that they transported him from the bed to the gurney to the van. Our family was so appreciative of their professional manner-especially at such a difficult time.

We have decided to go with Jenkins and Soffe for my mother once she passed but we didn't get the chance to make the arrangement beforehand. My mother passed away in the early hours of the morning, we contacted the funeral home at 9:30 AM and by 10:30 AM they were at the house. We bombarded them with questions which they answered clearly before taking my mother away.
They were very respectful in the way they transported her from the bed to the gurney to the car. It demonstrated a level of professionalism and expertise which I appreciated.
