Services
The hydrostatic body fat testing has been around for over 50 years, and it is based on Archimedes' Principle, which states that "when a body is submerged in water, there is a buoyant counter force equal to the weight of the water which is displaced." Hydrostatic body fat testing will determine your body composition by separating your body into two masses: body fat and lean mass (bone, muscle, connective tissue).
We discuss your goals, previous personal training, injuries and overall health - a complete and thorough health assessment - before we ever begin to consider how you can most effectively accomplish your goals. With the gold standard of body composition analysis methods, we can assess your biomarkers to understand your starting point.
In order to properly develop a nutrition plan specific to your weight loss goals, we need to understand your body composition. First, we will quantify your fat mass and lean mass through hydrostatic weighing. Next, we will measure your Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR), to understand your metabolic rate, respiratory exchange ratio, and minimal caloric needs.

Sean P. is an amazing trainer. I was incredibly intimidated walking into a gym for the first time and didn’t know what to expect. Sean is so professional but at the same time easy going and makes the workout environment so comfortable. I started with Sean doing one-on-one personal training sessions and it was amazing to see myself slowly transform as a result of Sean’s guidance. I recently started the small group classes (5 people) and while everyone goes at their own pace , Sean is able to tailor the exercises and provide the skilled attention to each group members of an exercise is too difficult

The fit lab has great personal training. I have had amazing results working with Sean. The science he applies behind the workouts make a big difference in the results you see. Knowledgeable coaches! Shout out to both Coach Sean and Coach Daniel for their hard work, time and dedication to the gym. Had a back injury in July which fortunately wasn't horrible, but it did keep me from exercising consistently for 3 months due to back pain. This event showed me the importance of good form when exercising, which I can say is better thanks to my coaches. To me, anything to improve my exercise technique is important since exercise is a lifestyle, sometimes like therapy. Overall, i really learned a lot about performing exercises with better form and improving my nutrition. Thanks

I have been driving by The Fit Lab daily on my way to work since it opened and finally decided to look it up online. A convenient exercise plan is the only way i could make something stick and not start and stop like I have before. I called and spoke to Sean and decided to get dunked to get my body fat tested. Needless to say I thought I was much less fat but it was interesting to have a statistic to show you that you need to work on yourself.
