Services
Allegany County Health Department provides necessary services to the residents of Allegany County, New York. The mission of the department is to "educate, motivate and empower Allegany County residents to adopt and maintain healthy lifestyles." A few of the services offered by the department are environmental health, health education, reproductive health, the WIC program, children's services, and various types of health-related clinics.
This new space includes 4 training rooms, an EMS training space, and offices available for lease for not-for-profits. The new building also features a state-of-the-art distance learning training center that allows for training to be broadcast to many satellite sites to access quality education. Office space is available for lease, and 4 training rooms can be reserved for meetings that can accommodate up to 40 people.
Southern Tier Emergency Medical System (STEMS) is a program of Southern Tier Health Care System, Inc., and also an EMS program agency for the Southwestern Regional EMS Council (SWREMS). STEMS is responsible for researching and coordinating educational seminars to meet the needs of the EMS agencies in Allegany, Cattaraugus and Chautauqua counties.
The Bureau of EMS has launched its new Learning Management System (LMS), Vital Signs Academy. Their goal is to deliver educational content in a more advanced way. We aim to enhance the quality of learning by being flexible to different learning styles while improving efficiency and effectiveness. The courses and modules within the LMS, have been created with you, the user, in mind.

Providers not listed on the roster will be removed from your agency in STEMS' database. Please ensure that all information is completed on the skill sheet.
