I just rented an apartment which was just taken over by Meltzer real Estate. I am extremely happy with them . They renovated the apartment in a great manner . It’s looking like new to me . When I saw that apartment it needs some repairs . Paint and some touch up on floor but they make the whole apartment floor new . Paint the whole apartment and did all the repairs. Whenever I need anything regarding apartment they do it to a very next day . I am so happy with them and wish to be here for a long time 😊

I rented from Meltzer Real Estate for a year and a half and it was truly an awful experience. The day I moved in, I was met with standing water in my kitchen from a faulty dishwasher. When I ask for it to be fixed before I moved in, I was informed this was not considered an emergency repair and that “it would be fixed in a timely manner”. It wasn’t until I said it must be fixed before I’d move-in that it was fixed quickly. “If it happens again, we’ll just replace it” I was told. It happened another four or five times while I lived there and it was never fixed with rush or concern

This two star review is because of Meltzer's business partner. Meltzer, a 4.4 star reviewed company, managed the listing for a <2 star landlord. We felt blindsided. The lease from the owner/landlord was an at-will eviction style lease and was easily the most anti-tenant lease I have ever seen. Communications were ambiguous/unclear on many things, which made the distinction between the listing owner and the property owner less obvious in the process. It also made our expenses/liabilities in the application process less clear. They did offer to change the lease to a more standard contract, which

I have lived in an apartment managed by Meltzer Real Estate for three years now and they have always been attentive to my needs. If something needs fixing or attention, they take care of it right away. The property managers are easy to get ahold of and the maintenance staff is always close by if you need something. They also keep the common areas clean, such as the mail foyer, stairwells, laundry room, and I’ve even seen their staff leaf-blowing/sweeping the walkways between the apartment buildings. Overall I’ve had a very positive experience with Meltzer!

I lived on Grove Ave for 3 years and didn't have any major problems with the apartment or with management. During my time, there were 3 changeovers of Property Managers but each was very communicative and easy to work with. Service issues are resolved very quickly, as the maintenance crew is absolutely fantastic. The resident portal provides a way to document and request for service but for the quickest response, you must call the non-emergency service line to relay that information personally.

Literally the worst apartment agency ever in my 50 years of living/renting. If you have any other option, choose it. Two of my friends have also rented from them and share the same zero star opinion. Ever wonder what it feels like be an enemy just for living in a space you paid for? Welcome to Meltzer! Thank god I do not live on their property any more. You will lose time, patience, health, and money renting from them.
I'd say the worst part is the 'management team'. Which is a joke to even call it. They just rent a cheap empty office in the cheapest part of Chicago and stock it

My wife and I lived in a Meltzer managed property for 8 years. Our experience overall was excellent. The management staff and maintenance crew were always quick responding and available and to us. The common areas were cleaned regularly and we never had a problem with prompt services and communication when any sort of issue arrived. From the time we moved in until the day we moved out Meltzer made a consistent effort to improve the quality of their services beyond just renting you an apartment. We likely would've renewed our lease if we hadn't purchased a home.

Where do I begin! This place is the worst and Kasey is very rude. My lease agent Ashley has been the only helpful one and she is the best. Now, back to what happen. I looked at the place I was interested in and I wanted to move forward. I filled out the application and paid the $50 fee. I sent in all the pay stubs and what ever they needed. Kasey replied via email to have my fiancé fill out the application and pay the $50 as well. Before I did that I called her and asked if everything on my application looked good and was I approved and she said yes but we need to have your fiancé fill

I have been a tenant at a property managed by Meltzer Real Estate for 10 years and they have been the best landlord / property management company I have ever dealt with - and at 72, I've dealt with a few.
First of all, they are responsive to communications regarding service issues or any other questions. They have an easy to use portal where you can open a service ticket and pay rent.
Kasey Barnard, the manager for my building, has been wonderful to deal with. Always responsive and great at seeing that things happen when they are supposed to.
Several years ago, my refrigerator died. Two

Ciddy helped me find a wonderful apartment in my ideal neighborhood. She was patient, helpful and answered all of my questions. She made sure I had all my paperwork in order and provided me with receipts for everything.
I would highly recommend working with her to anyone looking for a place in the Chicagoland area!

I worked with Ciddy in my search to find a place in Logan Square! Ciddy was time efficient in communicating and showed me places based on my preferences - she found me the perfect studio in my desired location! Was patient with me getting my information together and was friendly throughout it all. Very knowledgeable about the area, easy going...a great fit for me! I will be using her moving forward when I move again :)

Be mindful of the practices of this Property management Co. They are dishonest, greedy, and they misrepresent themselves. They will tell you can take cosigners and if you have the minimum credit score, then you should be fine. You give $100, then they make a hard inquiry on your credit which lowers it, just to turn you down for the Apt. This happened to me, I was VERY honest about my situation. I have a great job, but a lower than GREAT credit score, however it is considered GOOD. However, I told the lying agent that if that would not suffice, I could easily get a co signer who has extremely

I was scheduled for a viewing of 1925 Grove Ave - 309, Berwyn, IL 03-28-17 at 6:30p. I confirmed through email that I was still coming to view the apartment. I work/live in Tinley Park, IL. I work from 8:30a-5p. Once I got off, I went straight to the address given to me. Unfortunately, due to the rain and traffic, I was running late. I called the only number I had currently 773.790.4004 and left a voicemail stating I was going to be late. I arrived at 6:40p. There was nobody present and the office was closed. I checked my phone and I received a text message from Aya at 6:03p asking if I was still
