The staffs at Valencia Cyclery in San Francisco were friendly and gave informative advice for choosing the right bike. The manager took his time to explain the pros & cons for the components that came with different bikes. He shared his experience with caliper brakes and hydraulic brakes as well as electronic shifting. They also check their future inventories and projected delivery time to help me decide what options I have. I give them 10 of 10 score and would recommend my friends and family to their bike shop.

I consistently receive the best service I've ever received at a bike shop at Valencia Cyclery. The mechanics are friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and regularly recommend only the service I need (without upselling or dramatizing problems). The repair work is always completely quickly with quality workmanship. Overall a first rate experience.

They had a Salsa post-lock adapter in stock (actually 2 of them) when nobody... and I mean nobody has these. Online order was easy and the pickup was available right away. Friendly staff on site when I arrived. This was a huge help in getting a regular rack on a recently purchased eBike without standard rack mounts.

Was here on a Sunday afternoon. The people here were very friendly and warm. The guy that helped me didn't force a sale. He even recommended the medium size for me and explained due to the global supply delay/shortage that they only have a few mediums in stock. I ended up not buying one. But the experience was worth the five stars.

Love the staff - everyone I have encountered at Valencia Cyclery is knowledgeable and eager to help. I've received the same caliber of service just coming in to put air in my tires as I have coming in to purchase a new road bike. All of the bikes and accessories etc. they have are high quality, reliable products. I love that there's a variety of products, helping me stick to my budget while getting products I trust.

Their site says “same day service, just drop by” but when you do, they’ll tell you if you didn’t buy the hike from them, then they cant.
I stopped buy just to diagnose a simple problem in brand new bike i bought online so I can report the issue. I was not even hoping to get repaired immediately or anything and willing to pay. But they spent so much time just asking us about all the other bike shops we should go to. The bike is stiff, how will i get to those shops?
The lack of empathy and ethics for customer service is appalling.

Definitely check out this bike shop if you're ever in the Mission!
The team is super friendly + knowledgeable. A lot of shops have staff that are condescending and try to pressure you into making a sale, but Valencia Cyclery is the complete opposite. Everyone has always been welcoming and excited to help. In fact, I've been talked out of buying things I thought I needed on several occasions

I just put 3 stars and I will tell u why. First time here I came to get my handle bars trimmed and everything was awesome. Excellent service next door your technicians are the best and the fastest even they always have a line of ppl waiting they do a fast job and I can not complain that the quality also. Today around 4pm I came looking for a bike I saw they had in a Close out sale online And it was my exact size. But the guy with dark hair long to the shoulders was not helpful at all. I said I was looking for a bike for myself. He said he had nothing in my size (small or 48-50cm) which clearly

Went in looking for a higher end kids bike for which they are a distributor. They said it was still in a box. I got a skeptical look that it wasn't worth their time - most likely because they do more business with cheaper mass market kids bikes or thought I wasnt a serious shopper cause I dont fit the look. That was the end of conversation for them. Nothing they can do. The staff need better training in basic customer service and adjust their approach with family biking. So in the end I spent the dollars elsewhere. Hopefully next time.

I ordered the army green 4130 from State Bicycle Company. I took it to the crew at Valencia Cyclery to have it assembled by professionals. I took it over early on Saturday October 3rd, 2020. Cory and his guys assembled the ride that same day. I was so impressed with the customer service of all of the VC family in the shop and the showroom, that I also purchased a Brooks B-17 saddle for the my bike on the spot. I’m sorry I took so long to thank all you guys at Valencia Cyclery for the awesome experience of being a customer of your business. I’ve been a little too busy enjoying the ride you assembled

For the last few weeks, I have called and visited numerous bike shops in the Bay Area and have had 0 luck finding a Trek or Specialized bike that was appropriate for my sons size (and taste)
I was fortunate to find out that Valencia has managed to carry an adequate inventory of kids bikes to meet my son's needs even during today's times.
So we waited in line (maybe 10th place) but the staff worked through the customers in a speedy fashion
We walked away with a Trek to start the Memorial Day weekend

I've never bought a bike myself (my only bike as an adult was a gift) and other than the basic googling I did before visiting the shop, knew nothing about how to choose a bike.
Due to COVID-19, I wasn't able to try the bike before purchasing, but I really appreciate their patience and help. They showed me a few different bikes, helped me estimate the size and answered all my questions. They set-up my accessories for me and helped me decide what to get. I'm happy with the bike I got and appreciate all the precautions they set-up to make the transaction safe for everyone involved
