We have finally gotten some new bikes for sale. We will be open Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from noon until 6 pm. We will be operating via appointment only on a limited schedule for tune-ups and large repairs. You can drop in for flat tires and minor adjustments. At the Bike Hut, you can rent a bicycle with a rack and pannier bags or a bicycle trailer to haul the gear. When you're carrying everything you need, you're a self-sufficient traveler, a rolling personal getaway. You could literally stop anywhere and be set for the night.

We have a number of used bikes for sale that have been donated to us or that we have bought new and used for our rentals. They are all in great working order and are warranted for 30 days. One of our main objectives is to get more people on bikes, so we offer great values. But, we also need to pay the rent, etc.

My son and I went to Bike Hut to rent a bike to ride along the Embarcadaro yesterday and the staff there were very helpful and efficient to recommend a bike for him, and because it was a cold day, even offered to loan him a pair of gloves. We used it for about an hour and it was just $8. Very reasonable for a bike rental. The bike was decent and well-maintained. Tip: have lunch at the Delancey Street Restaurant & go for a bike ride afterward! Nice way to take in the coastline.

Amazing bike shop. Friendly and welcoming staff. Brought my bike in for a tune up as I'd been having some issues with a clicking noise while I was peddling. Michael was able to diagnose that my pedals needed to be replaced. Fast, quality, and very reasonably priced service. Nice conversations as well. I will definitely be back.

Today, was my first visit to The Bike Hut but it definitely won’t be my last. Located at Pier 40 (South Beach Harbor) on the Embarcadero is a literal hut, painted yellow with a large sign that says The Bike Hut. Great thing about this location is that parking is available if your traveling from a distance and need to transport your bicycle via car. It’s a fairly large parking lot with over thirty (30) available spaces. The Bike Hut is open Wednesday - Sunday from 10 am - 5 pm normally, but the adjusted hours due to COVID-19 is now Wednesday - Sunday from 12 pm (noon) - 5 pm. It’s best to

I called ahead of time to check if there were any used bikes within my budget, fortunately there were. There is a free car parking lot on-site. I came here on a Sunday early afternoon and there were a couple of spots available. There are sanitizing wipes readily available. Also, there is coverage for the used bike if there are any issues within the first two months.

This place was great to us today. Rental fees are affordable and they were very kind and flexible. They also sold us an awesome children's bike for a reasonable price. Definitely going back on Thursday!
They even gave us a tool to loosen the bike so that we could fit it in our car.

I was out with some friends trying to bike across the Golden Gate Bridge one day. We were on our way to the Ferry Building when something went wrong with my bike chain and I was no longer able to peddle. I was so bummed, looked up what bike shops were nearby, and this lil spot showed up. I walked my bike up and a nice lady asked me what was was going on so I showed her the issue with my chain and pedals. A gentlemen then came over to take a look at my bike- he took off my tire, adjusted my chain, re-assembled, gave me a little tool to help me out next time and told me to have a nice ride! Free

My family rents bikes here every time we visit the city. Parking is a breeze and it's a very fun ride from here to the Golden Gate Bridge. Harrowing, but a great time for a bunch of teens. Price is fair for sure. Bikes are like new. The process is quick and painless to rent and return - no lengthy contracts. Thanks!!

I SUPER RECOMMEND HERE FOR CYCLISTS. Well I think I was lucky to hire a band new bicycle at here with good price. Owner is friendly to guests and he also gave me a free bottle of water. Somebody may wonder why this 'nonprofit organisation' takes some money, and just Google around hiring bicycle in SF and $7 per hour is a very good price. It's DONATION, so sont't be grumpy for your bucks, just grab a bike here and enjoy your ride in SF.

We live in Brooklyn, NY and were planning a bike trip from San Francisco to LA. Shipping our bikes proved complicated and expensive.
Then we came across the Bike Hut. Mike set us up with two really nice touring bikes with racks, locks, etc. We brought our own panniers. He also set us up with pedals to fit our shoes.
And, because the store was closed on the day we needed to pick up the bikes, Mike accommodated us by letting us pick them up off-hours from his home! The price was very reasonable, too. We can't recommend the Bike Hut enough.

This place is great for rentals. And, you should come here when you need a bike, Mike has a killer selection of all types of bikes you could want. I got a retro BMX and a nice city hybrid with disc brakes. Both are in great shape and a very reasonable price to boot!
It's also a fantastic place to have small bike repairs done. Definitely a great addition to the neighborhood and makes Mission Bay feel more like home. :)

The service is great, the bikes are always in perfect condition, and the prices makes it more convincing to always come back!
Me and my friends lost track of time and called them because they were about to close in 15, but the guy there was very understanding & didn't overcharge us. They let you pick the bike you want, they give you water bottles & the chain.
Will always come back!

Highly recommend to start here instead of at the fisherman wharf. Avoid the headaches of renting at those touristy places.
I put together a group of 5 coworkers as a team building activity. We got here at 10:15 and they had bikes ready for us. They also made sure we had helmets and locks... They even gave us locks for our other bikes we brought, for FREE.
They also let us return one of the bikes the day after for no additional fee.
