My grandmother has lived at the Palms of Longwood for a few years. My family and I looked at many facilities before moving her. The staff were very outgoing and the administrator Kim was very helpful! We are very happy with the care that she receives. The staff are great with her. We have recommended this facilty to others.

When it's time to move a parent into an assisted-living facility, it can be tough to figure out which is the best fit. The Palms of Longwood helped create a smooth transition to my mom’s new home. They understand that family is an important role for their residents and go above and beyond to include us in mom’s care plan, as well as make us feel welcomed at every visit. I sincerely appreciate all they do for my mom, especially Kim and Shelby!

Right now I'm very upset with this facility, which is unfortunately far rom me. My sister and father placed mother in the facility without her knowledge and consent. Now she is rightfully angry at them both but they attribute her anger at "dementia." In the meantime, those two did not bother to consult with me although I share POA with my sister over my mother's care. I'm calling my mother and finding out she was over sedated and complaining of back pain, and finally after numerous calls got a hold of someone who told me of a very hard medication my mom was put on xanax, which was causing her to

We placed our dad there in October with the assistance of Armando (a placement guide for assisted living); dad was in a rehab and we were only told three days that his time was up and Medicare would no longer pay for his rehab; since we didn't have a clue what we were doing we listened to Armando since dad doesn't have Medicaid and no extra money each month; we were told when we moved him in that they were updating their intercom call system, therefore, all of the residents were given whistles to blow if they needed assistance.
