Kenneth is an exceptional Home Inspector as the entire team. The Home inspection was completed in just over an hour. The report was provided within 5 minutes of Kenneth leaving the property. I have never had a home inspection written up so quickly. It was rushed, he was documenting his finding as he went along.
He is very thorough, experience, communicative and easy to work with. You will not be disappointed, I strongly recommend and will continue to work and refer him. This guy came from Accokeek to Baltimore to do the Home Inspection when it was freezing out and no heat in the property

I had an home inspection done and 3 months after purchasing home had a flood in kitchen that went to parts of basement. Had home been inspected properly this would not have happen. Tho home was newly renovated I thought the point of home inspection would look for work done incorrectly not the case at all. Doors on home don't shut properly Hvac dispenses water the opposite way of drainage. It's so much that O wasted my money with company on... My advice get some one True to the business not new gadgets to the business (drone roof inspection)

Someone recently used sentinel to perform an inspection on the home I am selling. We came home to a hot house, ac had been turned off. Every single light had been left on. Dryer was pulled out from the wall and not put back. Outlet cover was left off and we didn't catch it until our 3 year old was messing with the exposed outlet. The level of inconsideracy astounding.

Sentinel was excellent. The service that they provided was exceptional, and I would most certainly recommend them. The inspectors walked me through the items of concern while on site, and the report was efficient, detailed, and came to me within 30 minutes post-inspection. Very much worth the money. The sentinel team went right to work and provided comments as they progressed through the house. I had the final inspection report within 2 hours of it being complete. We used Jamal and his team for two home inspections – one on a house we didn’t get and one on a house we did. On both, he was incredibly thorough, friendly and pleasant, and, most importantly for us as first time home buyers, he was educational. He pointed out areas in our 100 year old house that were potentially problematic and explained exactly how they could be fixed. He did this for both medium level and minor things, which helped us create a list of work to do as soon as we get the keys. Not only that, he had the inspection report to us in almost no time at all. Jamal and his team were on-time (even beat me), efficient and thorough in the condominium inspection my client requested. The report was extremely detailed and while conducting the inspection they were sure to answer every question asked or opinion sought.
All precautions for COVID were taken, including booties, full body suit and masks. Since our appointment they have followed up with contact information ensuring us that they can be counted on a resource. I would HIGHLY recommend Sentinel and do plan to use them again.

Although very nice & thorough during inspection I would not recommend this company. MAJOR things were missed. Within 24hrs of moving into my home, the basement flooded, several gas leaks were identified, and stove was also leaking gas. Im almost months into the house now and still baffled that these were missed during my inspection.
I thought paying more for the inspection would save me the headache after I moved in, negative. Everyday there seems to be another major issue that is identified.

Working with Sentinel Inspections was excellent and we highly recommend Jamal and his team! This was our first home purchase and there were a few things that were unfamiliar to us. Jamal walked us through the entire inspection process and explained everything thoroughly. He sent us an extremely detailed inspection report (with photographs) within 1 day and made detailed recommendations on what we should ask to be repaired and how. Jamal and his team were also timely - they got to the home before we did - and were very COVID safe.

If you are looking for an inexperienced inspector who will not do a thorough job, this is the company. We found various issues that were NOT noted on the inspection report shortly after closing. We ended up spending money to repair issues that should have been caught by an inspector. Please use an experienced company and save yourself the stress. We do NOT recommend this company.

Jamal was prompt, polite, and professional. He was accommodating and worked with my schedule. He came to the DC HPAP seminar I was attending and gave a great presentation. I wanted a mold and air quality test done in my newly renovated home. The home was built in 1909 and renovated in 2019. He made sure I understood the results of the test and clarified all my questions. I recommend him highly to anyone purchasing a pre-existing property in the DC MD and Virginia area.
