Services
I am Chinese-American from Los Angeles, 2 generation, oldest of 3 sisters. We didn't have playrooms full of electronics or the latest toys, but our art closet was always full of supplies sourced from yard sales. I am a commercial lifestyle and editorial photographer with roots in family photojournalism.
In these times of great uncertainty, we have been returning to our roots, spending more time with family, rediscovering old comforts. And for the working parents, dealing with the needy coworkers who constantly interrupt the workday with their unrelenting requests for snacks and diaper changes.
My work is about joy out of struggle, connection, and humanness, and though production may be changing, the need for these overarching messages of hope in advertising storytelling remain constant.

Family photographs have been created with a real-life documentary approach to showcase the messy imperfect reality of parenthood for commercial + editorial photography and advertising campaigns, best for brands and organizations who make family's lives more meaningful and parents' lives easier: family travel, museums, amusement parks, educational toys, kids's furniture, school districts, creative subscription boxes, children's pharmaceuticals, custom photo books and gifts, family heritage research, home builders and life insurance.
Authentic and environmental portraits are the outcomes of the stories these subjects tell. In conversation and collaboration with the subject, I watch for their expressions (both micro and overt), whether pondering or mid-laugh, and engaged with me or their environment. We had a great experience with Tiffany Luong! She was very responsive throughout the process of booking a mini session, providing tips on how to prepare for our session, keeping us updated on changes at the venue and being quick to offer alternatives, and sending us our completed gallery within a week after our session along with our photo downloading and printing options. During the photo session, she was very engaged and captured the essence of our family, and we had a lot of fun. I highly recommend booking her for your family photos or any photo you might need!

I love her style of photojournalistic family photography. I thought I could shake it off but about three years later, I really couldn’t find anyone else’s style that I liked other than hers—candid, real, natural lighting. She’s very responsive which was very much appreciated. My family, especially the kids, felt comfortable around her. We honestly felt like we were hanging out more than doing a photo shoot. We felt like she captured us as us :)

Tiffany was an absolutely wonderful photographer to work with! Our dog was recently diagnosed with terminal cancer so we wanted to do a small photoshoot with her before she got too sick. We've been so stressed out and sad about the entire situation but Tiffany had us laughing and genuinely enjoying ourselves during a 10 minute mini shoot. 10 minutes doesn't sound like a lot, but she can do a lot with it! She responded quickly to all of our messages and gave us a lot of information about what to expect and streamlined the whole process! I would absolutely recommend Tiffany for beautiful family portraits

I already had Tiffany in mind for a future family-documentary session, so I jumped at the opportunity for a mini-session at the Row DTLA! It was so much fun being her subjects, especially for my oldest son (3 years old).
Being at the stage where he normally would be uncooperative for the camera, he just shined in every photo! You can tell Tiffany has a lot of experience with kids, which you don't necessarily see with every family photographer. Tiffany is an absolute joy to work with. Her personality is fun and easygoing, which makes for a positive atmosphere on set. Her attitude towards her work comes through in her photography, which is natural, light, joy-filled, and effortless. Tiffany is AMAZING! I needed photos for my new business website and as soon as I saw Tiffany's brand work, I knew I wanted to work with her. I'm super awkward in front of the camera but I really appreciated Tiffany's documentary style - it's more about capturing the essence of the moment than trying to stage something artificial, so those moments that felt most natural totally came out the best. I laughed so much while working with her, and I feel the energy and joy of the session was really captured in her photos.

We have used Tiffany Luong Photography a couple times already and I am so happy with the photos we have received. The first time was a combo of family and some professional shots for my business. Being a mom herself, she knew exactly what to say to my kids to get them to smile we have the photos for proof! Tiffany has been photographing our family for the past 7 years. Each session has been such a joy. She is extremely talented and works hard to capture your daily life. She works well with children and pets (and adults). We had sessions where we dressed up, but really enjoyed the sessions where we were just ourselves, and where she has captured our family for who we are.
