Once In A Blue Moon Farm
We've hosted vacation guests for over 20 years and our farm property was on the forefront of agritourism activities and farm lodging on Orcas Island. Well into our third decade as a multi-generational family business, it is a living collaborative creative endeavor, one with dreams and intentions, continually evolving with artistic passion and purpose.

A reverence for our natural landscape and environmental sensitivities drive the way we think and operate at Once in a Blue Moon Farm. Sustainability and living with nature is our way of life. We are intricately bonded to our water, our soil, our air, our future, our health, and our economy. We hope the farm stay will help inspire or compliment your efforts in rethinking the way we all live.

A little pricey, but you get privacy, beautiful accommodations and it is a very easy drive to and from the ferry. There is no oven or stove, but they happily provided charcoal for the grill.

Let the sounds of early morning birds joined by a chorus of quacking ducks happy chickens and jealous heritage turkeys make your heart sing and your soul joyful. This is a true working family organic farm well supervised by their dog Audrey, who is everywhere looking after us all. The family is respectful of your privacy if that is what you want, but also warm helpful and as friendly as can be. If you want to be involved in their work or lives they will welcome you. The rooms are pristine, with garden or farm views, plenty of outdoor seating and freedom to roam. Safe for even younger children if

Once in a Blue Moon Farm is a beautiful place for anyone yearning to be immersed in nature. My husband and I took our children here so that they can be free to run around and just be. We also came to recharge and slow things down a bit as everyday life can be too fast. The family run farm is impressive with all the animals from horses, lamas, ducks, chickens, geese, turkeys, sheep, and goats. The family who run the farm warm and welcoming and a great resource for the history of the farm as well as things to do in Orcas Island. A treasured place filled with love and care for nature! I highly recommend
