Anyone struggling with thoughts, feelings or behaviors and anyone living with a mental health concern, whether short or long term. Treatment depends on the type of mental health concern that you have, its severity and what works best for you. In many cases, a combination of treatments works best. Psychotherapy, also called talk therapy, involves talking with a mental health provider.

I was a patient here for 4 years. Martha was a great provider one-on-one but in terms of response to questions or concerns (even during a time of crisis), there was a significant delay. Medication refills were not processed in time and her voicemail was often full.
From what I saw at the clinic, providers there are overwhelmed and unable to attend to the needs of each patient. I have found another clinic that does not have that problem.

I can’t say enough good things about the care I’ve received from Trecy. I’ve really been able to make a full change in regards to my mental health, and everyone in my life has noticed the positive change in my mood and how I handle my day to day life since starting care with her.
In addition, I recently had a very scary situation come up and when I called front desk they handled the situation with so much obvious care and compassion. Alice, the office manager went above and beyond to ensure my needs be met and followed up with me about my concerns. A very caring, ethical, and compassionate

Providers are very good and are the only reason for any stars. Most unhelpful office staff of any psychiatric clinic in Austin. Have yet to have a good experience with them. If you owe any balance, the office staff won’t notify you, but they will refuse to schedule you a follow up until you pay it off, and also try to refuse to refill your meds until you have said follow up. They won’t notify you if you’re due for a follow up, and their appointment reminders don’t even have the time of your appointment on it. But then they’ll charge you $150 for missing it. Go literally anywhere else

Loved my psychiatrist, but he moved offices and I followed him. I was a patient here for two years and the front office staff treated me like garbage. Every time I needed a prescription refill, it was a fight. For someone that already struggles with mental illness, the customer service received here is awful. I got treated like a criminal when I asked for refills too early (before a weekend or holiday, otherwise I’d run out of medication) or I was ignored. I don’t recommend this place to anyone at all. But I’m glad I was able to connect with a good psychiatrist. So 2 stars for that. Otherwise

Dr.” Holcomb and his staff need to take the Hippocratic oath again. This office functions more like a payday loan business than a medical provider, charging for refills between appointments and refusing to see patients with a balance on their accounts—even after making good faith efforts to become solvent. They represent everything that is wrong with the mental health and medical care industry in the U.S. today. Find another provider.

I’ve been seeing Megan for about 2 years now, and have made such wonderful progress in this time. The office staff has always been friendly, and my emails have always been answered promptly. I had to miss an appointment last minute and faced a fee, but considering the value of the doctors’ time, I consider this fair.
I hope clients begin to understand the demands on the staff, and the policies they utilize to streamline services.

I'm very disappointed and surprised at the level of unprofessionalism and disrespectful behavior that I was treated with by the receptionist AND Dr. Holcomb. I've never been rude or hostile to anyone, especially my doctors. I called this afternoon to get my medication refilled at the right pharmacy and the receptionist all the sudden started screaming at me then hung up. I called back and Dr Holcomb accused me of yelling and being rude then refused to let me even say a word. When I tried to speak he hung up on me and had my doctor refuse to refill my medicine. I feel like I'm in the movie Anger

Recently had an appointment with NP Prokop. I was relieved to find somebody I could feel comfortable explaining my situation to honestly and straightforward.
There are late/cancellation fees depending on when you show up/cancel, but they are a smaller office. Moreover, getting an appointment as a new patient couldn't have been easier. I was scheduled within a week as well. Great experience.

Beware, Beware, Beware!
If you sign up for Dr. Holcomb’s group therapy and you have to miss due to a conflict, even if you inform them, they will charge you $80 to “save your spot”, no exceptions. I’m about to fight with their billing department over this, and have dropped out of his group therapy due to this totally and utttlerly unreasonable policy.
You can definitely find equivalent mental health services elsewhere, with policies that take life circumstances into consideration, as this practice does. Heck, an individual therapy session costs less out of pocket than what these folks
