Stress, anxiety, thoughts, and emotions are experiences we all share as humans because they are all biochemical and biophysical functions rooted in our nervous systems. At Recalibrate, we don't dilute the magnitude of these functions. All our recommendations and resources are rooted in proven principles of neuroscience and biology to help improve everybody's knowledge and mental and physical health.
An increasing number of health insurance plans are beginning to cover mental wellness services but sometimes with limitations and exclusions. Make sure to reach out to your HR department or your insurer to find out exactly what is included in your plan and if there are any restrictions (such as services must be performed by a licensed medical doctor).
Formally established in 2008, July became the Bebe Moore Campbell National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month in the United States, with goals to: (1) increase awareness to the unique mental health challenges that underrepresented groups face in the United States, and (2) increase access to mental health treatments and services for minority and underrepresented groups.

I had the opportunity to attend 2 mindfulness workshops by Recalibrate. We held 2 virtual workshops during Mental Health Awareness Month in May 2020: The Science of Stress and Mindfulness & Managing Anxiety in Times of Uncertainty. Both sessions were very comprehensive, educational, helpful, and interactive, even in a virtual setting.

Gloria's process and ability to connect to her clients is unique and special. I started working with Recalibrate without any expectations or idea of what type of guidance I needed. We brought our Entrepreneurial Organization Forum group (8 of us) to Austin and asked Gloria to provide us her expertise on mindfulness and mediation. We never realized how our brain worked and how it needs to be nourished like our body does and how both body and brain work together. Her presentation has made mindfulness a game changer for me. We did really easy meditation exercises to help us handle stress and mental clarity. It was just awesome and I have taken her techniques back to my work to implement. And I feel terrific. I went into this series with a basic understanding of mindfulness, but zero knowledge of how to use meditation to support my struggles with anxiety. I have continued to use the tools I learned in this series, most notably during real moments of stress. Gloria's teaching of the science behind mindfulness is comprehensive, while still digestible given the time frame. Her guided meditations had me leaving each class feeling better than when I arrived. Highly recommend to anyone interested in beginning or enhancing a mindfulness and meditation practice.

Gloria has a way of breaking down mindfulness in way that is accessible and super interesting from a scientific, cause-and-effect perspective. As a former corporate busy bee, she gets the temptation around hustle culture and meets you wherever you are in your mindfulness journey.

Recalibrate is the first brand that's helped me understand mindfulness in a modern way and learn how to easily apply it in my life. Having experienced their work personally we actually partnered up on an event called Mindfulness and Money where our brands came together to help a large group of women get clear on stress and how to reduce it in their personal and financial lives. I can't recommend Recalibrate and the work Gloria and Jess are doing enough !

Gloria has an incredible skill of instantly making you feel comfortable with quieting your mind (this can be difficult and awkward for many people)! I've always known the benefits of mindfulness and meditation but very much appreciated learning about the science behind the numerous benefits we reap through the process. Gloria has been coming to our office and has done such a great job in breaking down the importance of mindfulness. I always look forward to our coaching sessions, mainly because she is so easy to talk to! It’s nice to be able to talk to someone who makes you feel so comfortable. I always appreciate her feedback and how quickly she comes up with a plan of action. I recently found out that I am expecting so her intro to mindfulness and meditation have been a great asset in my day to day life. I cannot recommend Gloria enough!
