The Ascent Cycling origin story goes a little something like this: Clay Allison and Patrick Cross had spent quite some time working at bike shops, both in Colorado Springs and elsewhere throughout the States. They enjoyed what they did, and they were darn good at it too, but neither of them ever felt truly satisfied.

The men and women out of Waterloo, Wisconsin design and develop a two-wheeled steed for your century road ride on one end of the spectrum, and all the way to your downhill mountain bike race debut on the other.

Rocky Mountain Bicycles has been in the mountain bike game for quite some time. 33 years, to be exact, and certainly long enough to know a thing or three about our favorite pastime. The boys and girls who make up the Canadian company have dedicated themselves to building bikes to handle it all: cross country, enduro, downhill, you name it, these guys do it.

Ascent Cycling is an amazing bike shop. I recently moved to town and needed assistance to reassemble my bike after transporting it during my move. The staff at this bike shop was extremely helpful and courteous. They remedied my assembly problems at no charge, in a minimal time. This will be my bike shop as long as I’m in the area. I highly recommend this shop for all your biking needs.

Great place to purchase and maintain your bicycle. My wife and I bought very high quality bikes there about six years ago. The only problem I had with my bike since I bought it, was a broken pedal. They sold me a pair of high quality pedals and installed them. I've ridden the bike and love the new pedals.

We recently went to Ascent to replace 5 bikes for our family. The staff was incredibly patient with our numerous questions and were careful to make sure every member of the family had a bike to meet their specific needs. Their shop is clean and tidy. The entire process from start to finish was well-organized. Additionally, they went out of their way to make sure we got all 5 bikes home safely . They even went so far as to lend us a blanket to make sure neither our truck nor the bikes were damaged on the drive home! Needless to say, the kids are thrilled with their new bikes! Wow!! I am extremely impressed with the team at Ascent Cycling!! I took my son's bike over to get some much needed repairs and they went way above and beyond to help me and make sure his bike was safe! Even though they were extremely busy, they still made time for me and the technician was able to fix a poor design flaw with the bike that I did not think was possible. Ascent cycling is the best shop I’ve been in. They have always taken care of me for all of my biking needs. They have helped me with repairs and made me feel important even for the small things. A+ WORLD CLASS customer service and shopping experience. I had been looking for a trail bike for several months, and with the shortage, wasn't having any luck. I figured I'd just get my old bike fixed, and was impressed by Ascents service shop.
When I arrived, I was greeted warmly by David and a fellow employee. He took the time to listen about my bike and assured me that it was no great feat to get rolling well again. I've been in here twice, both times I was helped by friendly associates and found why I needed. One of the times, unaware they were about to close, I called before driving there to see if they could change out the tires on my daughter's bike. The man on the phone let me come in past closing, did a quick tire change, and carried the bike out. Just that interaction alone made me think of this place when I needed to get another small thing later. I don't have a bike, but if I did, I'd come here more often.

I was searching for a full suspension mountain bike and went to a few different shops. Ascent took everything into consideration and had me try out multiple bikes. A friendly staff that is very knowledgeable and wants to get you set up with with a bike that fits you. So glad I decided to go and check them out. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking to get a bike or looking for a new shop in general. They got me setup with a Trek 820 to get into mountain biking, and I will definitely be returning when I decide to make an upgrade.

I wanted to share that I could not be more impressed with Ascent or happier with my new mountain bike. Their excellent customer service, product knowledge and experience helped me decide on the best high end Mountain Bike for my body and riding needs. We took in our two e-bikes to Ascent Bikes to have the brakes checked because they were making a scraping sound. The owner checked out both bikes thoroughly and adjusted the brakes, spokes, and wheels - no brake pads needed - adjusted the shifters and oiled the chains, all while we watched. He knew what he was doing. The social distancing was great! People waited in a properly spaced line outside and there were only two parties inside at a time. Masks worn by everyone. Great service and great price- only $45 for both bikes to be tuned. We will be regular customers!

I took my sons bike in 2 weeks ago. It needed a tune up, a new tube, and I asked for a hand brake for the front to be added to the bicycle. After a week, they called and said it was ready other than the brake (it was in yet) and to pick up the bike and bring it back when the brake arrived. I asked for them to keep the bike, and install the brake when it arrived. They call a week later saying that the brake arrived and for us to bring the bike back. First time to this shop yesterday to get my front running stroller wheel fixed. I brought in my own part for the wheel, but still expected to pay for the labor. However, the gentleman who helped me was so kind and repaired it for free. The customer service was excellent and he got me in and out quickly. I found my store for my future bike (or running stroller) needs!

Brought my 4 year old son's bike in due to a flat rear tire. Didn't get his name, but the person helping us was prompt and quickly fixed it within 10 minutes! My son watched as his bike was fixed, he loved all the tools since he has his own play tools at home too. My son is so happy that he can finally ride his bike again! I was impressed by the shop from the beginning. Todd was extremely helpful and patient with us and spent a lot of time answering our questions and educating us on almost every aspect of bicycles. We purchased my wife's bicycle, and I will be returning next week to purchase a new one for myself. I highly recommend Ascent Cycling for all of your bike needs.

Took in my bike to get a tune up, got the basic package, which included , bike wipe down, shocks wipe down and grease, and tire inflation and more, but none of these things were done, got my bike back even dirtier then I brought it in, also asked if they could adjust my shocks to my weight they said yes and didn't do, so now it makes me wonder if they even did anything to the bike except replace the parts the I bought.

Best bike shop in Colorado Springs, bar none. These guys will give you their full attention and expertise, whether you are buying a top of the line carbon bike, or are just getting some routine maintenance done on your kid's Huffy. I've bought two Specialized mountain bikes from these guys, and will buy my next bike from them for the following two reasons: (1). Awesome follow up mechanical support - whereas most bike shops will give you a couple of months of service if you buy a new bike (the window expires before you even break it in) Ascent takes care of you for as long as you own
