At Kids on Bikes, our mission is to inspire and empower all kids to lead healthy, active, and happy lives through bicycling. Earn-a-bike programs and bike libraries help ensure all kids can experience the joy of cycling. Come downtown to our community bike center, ask questions, take a class or browse our new and used bicycles and bike parts.
Bike clinics, family popsicle rides and bike carnivals are just a few of the ways we bring bikes into our community. Share your passion and energy with us. Whether you're great at event planning or bike tuning, we can find the perfect fit for you at Kids on Bikes. The Pedal Station offers many services including sales of used bikes, volunteer opportunities and more.

Freedom, joy, health and friendship. Kids on Bikes mission is to inspire and empower all kids to lead healthy, active, and happy lives through bicycling. Kids riding bikes to school, exploring their neighborhoods, and establishing healthy habits all stems from the original motivation to start Kids on Bikes.
In order to inspire and empower all kids to lead healthy, active, and happy lives through bicycling, we focus on 3 priorities. Through our earn-a-bike programs, bike nomination process, or from the Pedal Station, our community bike center, making quality and safe bikes for kids and their families to ride is key.
Daniel is a huge advocate for everyone-especially kids-utilizing bikes to explore, have fun, and enjoy the beauty only found in Colorado Springs. Daniel received his bachelors of Social Work from Colorado State University and has a vast background in working with kids as a coach, counselor, and social worker.
For $300 (or $25 per month), you can sponsor a child to go through the Let's Pedal earn-a-bike program. Kids participate in 10 weeks of hands on bike riding, and at the end earn a new bike, helmet, lock and pump. We have lots of volunteer opportunities where you can be a part of making a child's dream come true.
We take bike donations, parts and equipment at our Pedal Station. You can also drop off a bike at one of our bike shop partners who are drop-off sites for us. We take kids and adult bikes and can issue you a tax deductible receipt. All bikes go toward youth and families in our programs or for retail sale so that proceeds can support the mission of Kids on Bikes.

I officially adore this place. If you're into bikes, mountain climbing, snowboarding, or what have you this location will more than likely have someone and something for you. And if they dont they're the type of people to honestly suggest your next probable business that may have what item/answers/service you're looking for. They need bike donations bad due to the high demand id assume. They tear down your donation and salvage every piece to resell at a steal. I myself have purchased countless parts and hardware for my 2013 Kona Hei Hei and it's always been an enjoyable experience. The building

I own a small bike shop in Fountain and cannot say enough good things about Kids on Bikes and the Pedal Station their people and their work in the community of getting kids (and families) on bikes.
The volunteers and staff have been a joy to work with and we've donated scores of bikes to them in the last two years.
We carry a large selection of used bikes at our store, and if a customer can't find what they are looking for, we send them to the Pedal Station.
Check them out. Go volunteer.
