Aura At Towne Place

Living here since 2013. In the past three years been having a hard time sleeping here. People are soooo loud. A few times, got a room at the Hyatt, just to be able to sleep. The complex tells you,the resident, to take care of it on your own. Their way way of saying thanks for the $1530 for the smallest one bedroom.

From day one, I have enjoyed living in this community. It feels like home, and it is indeed my new home, hopefully for many years to come. The location and convenience of getting to everywhere I need to get to, is indeed quite enviable. I can walk to the mall, grocery store, and even to several of my doctor's offices, if I chose to do so. Also , many popular restaurants are in walking distance as well as well known department stores, etc. Important too, is the the fact that the Police Department and Fire Departments are within 5 minutes of my apartment. This makes me feel quite safe and secure

Would not recommend. They are only interested in signing new tenants. Huge increases at renewals. Also, when you leave they will do whatever it takes to get as much money out of you. Heaven forbid you need to leave due to unforeseen circumstances. They make the process everything you don't want it to be. They charge a premium and do not offer anywhere near the bang for your buck. Stay away!

Please make sure you read the reviews for this community before you make the choice. Many issues have been addressed in a timely manner.
1. Dirty apartment the day I received the keys.
2. Wrong apartment building placement. Also the apartment was full of furniture when I received the keys.
3. Cockroaches everywhere in the community.
4. Broken washing machine for a long time.
5. Dirty place everywhere.
6. Broken appliances.
It is hassle to keep placing service requests and have this experience when you pay overpriced rent!

This is my 3rd year living at Aura Towne Place, and I'm about to renew. The property is always clean, and the office and maintenance staff are always very helpful and friendly. Everyone who visits comments on how nice and clean the property is. We are surrounded by every restaurant and store you would need, and Greenbrier Mall is right up the road. The office staff plans a lot of community events, and are very good at keeping residents informed of whatever is going on. I love it! Always so pleasant and helpful. Tracy is such an amazing manager and always gets a response timely. The maintenance team is just the best and overall, the front office is top notch. Whenever I have questions about my unit or my lease, I'm sure to get the best resolution.

After living at Aura for over a year, I can speak highly of some of the neighbors and friends we made within the complex, the cleaning lady is AMAZING, and maintenance was great. The one star rating reflects how awful the management office is. Never returning emails or phone calls, waiting 8 months for an answer of an available storage unit which I had to call the regional manager to get that answer and to also get my apartment sprayed for bugs. We relocated to a larger apartment when we knew I would be working primarily from home due to covid. Management made a comment about how rude neighbors

Aura at Towneplace provides a safe and friendly environment with Beautiful amenities. The staff here made our move in a very smooth process and my neighbors are awesome. We are so incredibly Thankful to a part of this community and absolutely love our new apartment home.

I have lived in Aura (Building : 745) for over an year now and overwhelmed with all the facilities and the happening community that we are in. We are very fortunate to have chosen one of the best communities around in Chesapeake. The staff is extremely courteous and spontaneous with any request that we ask for. The entire Aura staff will make you feel at home. Add to that , the wide range of restaurants and retail stores around makes it very comfortable for anyone moving in. I’m going to say 4 stars because of the staff. Other then them it is highly price. I’m assuming your just paying for location. But hey active duty gets $25 off there rent a month that basically covers the trash disposal fee. I definitely would say the location is amazing. The amenities such as the spa pool, library with two computers, indoor gym, elevators, and traveling carts for your groceries or whatever is all awesome. Inside the apartments are all stainless steel appliances. Tall ceilings & large windows and very spacious. The cleaning lady here keeps this place in immaculate condition

This is still the best apartment I've lived in in Virginia. I lived here around 2014 for a while and thoroughly enjoyed the Zumba exercise room, lifeguard manned pool and friendly neighbors. The staff is really kind and helpful too. My lease is up where I'm currently staying and I'm trying to move back to Aura asap.

The lifeguard Joe did a phenomenal job, didnt see not one thing of dirt in there. He deserves a round of applause.

This is a great place with a super friendly and knowledgeable staff. They went out of their way to help me during the sale of my house. If you want to talk to a real professional staff this is the place to go. Ask for Cindy T-bow. She is always gracious and knows the place inside and out. I moved to Aura for a short term lease while I was waiting to close on a condo purchase at the beach (my life long dream)

I went to view this complex yesterday even after reading the poor reviews. I wanted to see for myself. We weren't greeted when we walked in. One of the reps looked at us & walked right on by assisting other "future residents". So, we went into the office of another staff member. It almost felt as if we were bothering her. She showed us 1 apt. & walked us back to the office. It was very rushed & I ended up annoyed.
