Independence Square Apartments

I was a tenant from 2/2020 to 7/31/2021 it was bad from start to finish my apartment was Not move in ready there was no refrigerator inside, walls were dirty holes chipped paint, Capet had stains, bathroom was DIRTY a mess old appliances etc. corporate was contacted and deducted like 500.00 off. Nothing was fixed due to COVID. My lease was up in Feb 2021 I never received a renewal so I called and was told they are behind working on Dec and how they are new and playing catch up. There have been so many new people taking over and not knowing what’s going on. I was told to just let the lady know

Why is it that the owners don't like to read a bad review you dont care because if you did you would fix the problem and the rude lady that answers the phone who doesn't state her name when you call the office and I think she's not telling people the truth about availability some people are in it for the money owners do better in hiring these unprofessional people and stop saying you're sorry fix the problem which is your staff how many ugly reviews you have to get about that lady before something is done let that sink in

I go to visit a friend that lives in the complex frequently. Since new people have been moving in, there are always kids running up and down the stairs playing in the stairwells, and the thing that is so bad, the kids don't even live in that particular building and there is never an adult watching them .There should be some rule that they must not play on stairs and in stairwells and should always have an adult watching them. There is a playground that is available they should be made to play at the playground or at least at their own building.

On their website it has an option to allow you to place an available unit on hold. Well I placed an apartment on hold on their website not a second or third party their actual website. Then I called to setup viewing of the apartment. Well the lady on who answered the phone casually informed me to disregard whats on the website they don't go by that and all units were preleased as of last week. So why is it being advertised as available on several different platforms and their website as having availability updated as early as today. Just to be told to sign up for the waiting list because nothing

It took weeks to get ahold of anyone at all and when I finally spoke with someone on the phone I was given an appointment to come at 10am on Thursday to do an application I was told what to bring to this appointment. When I got there 9:45am they couldn't recall I had an appointment at all. I had gotten a money order for the application and filled it out already they seemed like they were reluctant to give me the application. I was told I would be given a call before 5pm that day never received that call either.
It seems they wanted nothing more than for me to leave I doubt I will receive that

Excellent staff and maintenance service attentive to all concerns. Wonderful neighborhood, peaceful, cozy and the apartments are beautiful!!! 10 STAR RATING I will definitely be renewing my lease and looking forward to another year here with Independence Square!

I have inquired about this complex many times over the last year and a half and I gotten no response at all

I have lived here many yrs and it just goes down hill every yr. I have to say it's my fault for being to lazy to pack and move so I suffer here. The kids out number the adults there is a play ground no one uses, instead they play by the cars in the parking lot just last week there was a basketball imprint on my car window. They also play in the field between the buildings making noise & cursing I assume there parents can't hear them or don't care. I dont call the office often so when i do i would like help asap. I asked for a fresh coat of paint one yr they told me no. My ac breaks every yr and
