NW Pro Gear's mission is to get, and keep people one bikes! That includes doing all of the necessary maintenance and tuning to keep you and your bike on the roads and trails instead of in the shop. We make repairs and tunes simple and seamless, just call during business hours or bring your bike in to start the process of getting your bike back in perfect shape!
We believe in keeping good bikes on the road and in use! Our purchasing and consignment program is not intended to maximize profit-for you or us, that's why we do it the hard way but the right way. All of our used bikes are brought back to life - fully serviced and ride like new. We believe that having fully serviced used bikes available at fair prices is a service to the community, and we earn an honest dollar by doing it.

Absolutely love this shop! Great choice of bikes from new to used, some of the best service you could ask for. Me and my brother didn’t know much about bikes and they were awesome answered every question we had and were extremely helpful I would highly recommend this shop to anyone especially first time bike buyers!! This is a great bike shop. The staff was very informative about all the bikes and bike accessories in the shop. They make sure the bike is fitted just right for you before you take it out the door and they also have great warranty and maintenance policies as well. I highly recommend anyone look for a bike in PDX to go to this shop for your biking needs

I'm definitely a newbie to the world of cycling and trying to get into the sport without spending thousands of dollars up front. I went to a couple other bike shops and was not prepared to spend that kind of money but wanted a quality bike. I wish I could remember the name of the guy who assisted me to give credit , started with an F - I know, real helpful... anyway, he was so helpful, so patient with my lack of knowledge and so informative without ever pushing a sale. He set up three bikes (adjusted seat, put on peddles, etc) that would be appropriate Sizes and made sure I tried each out

Before I brought my bike here I was ready to give up on riding forever. I was struggling with a department store bike that was assembled poorly. When I picked my bike up, it was like a whole different bike... I'm so happy they adjusted and realigned my gears and did a full tune-up. Now riding my bike is fun, easy, and an absolute joy.
The service is fantastic and fast. They explained why they did everything, but never made me feel stupid. (other shops have) I will 100% return to this bike shop for all future repairs. In fact I'm dropping my daughter's bike this afternoon for a tune up.

They were outstanding. I took my old bike in to air the tires and buy a seat. They informed me of some other deficiencies and advised me to get those fixed asap due to safety while riding. Their prices are more than fair. They are very professional and courteous and yet not pushy. They definitely take pride in their work which is something that I look for when having someone work on any object of mine.

Extremely unprofessional. We went to try a used tandem bicycle at their shop, which was advertised, and decided the next day to buy it. I asked them to fix the chains (which I would pay for, and they agreed when we were at the shop). They committed to selling me the bike and completing the repairs for prices we had agreed on. Meanwhile, I passed on another tandem we had looked at elsewhere and was deciding between (which has since been sold). They discovered that a rim was cracked on the rear wheel, and called to tell me it would not be available at the agreed upon pick-up date while they replaced

I was treated very well with my recent purchase of a Trek Madone. The sales rep, a young man named Max was patient and helpful and very good at listening to my concerns and questions and gave me several options. I felt they had adequate inventory and the quality of their offerings was good. All the bikes appear to have been thoroughly gone through and meticulous prepared for resale. In all,I feel they offer value and are well worth checking out

I bought a new bike and gear from them. Every time I took the bike back for issues I was having with it, their attitude became more apparent. Felt like I was bothering them even though I had given them hundreds of dollars worth of business.
Dimitri treated me like I was stupid when I asked questions since I don't know a lot about fixing bikes. I would not recommend this shop.

Super impressed with NWProgear. Bought a bike as a surprise birthday present, knew the bike might be too small, but it was such a cool bike at a great price I wanted to take the chance. Great bike but it turned out to be a little small. Dimitriy basically met me at the door with cash refund in hand. I will be a loyal customer from now on. I had an awesome experience purchasing a bike from this shop yesterday! The owner, Dimitry, is extremely friendly and really knows his stuff about bikes. The bikes, new and refurbished, are all reasonably priced and you even get a 3-month warranty and maintenance. He fine-tuned my bike and made sure everything was working properly before I rode away. I will be recommending to my friends for their bike needs!

We were on the search for a replacement bike for my wife. She needed a solid commuter, nothing fancy though. The guys at NW Pro were very helpful. They installed the rack and fenders in no time, and we were on our way. As with any bike shop, you pay a premium for a bike that should be solid and ready to ride. We felt our costs were well worth it and will return when its time for another bikes (They have a good selection of new and used bikes!)

Great selection of used bikes!!! I brought my 7 year old's Trek bike purchased in 2011 for trade and they compensated is well for it. We walked out of there with a beautiful used kids Diamond Back mountain bike for only $75 out of my pocket. They responsibly had me prove I was the purchaser of the bike I brought in for trade and have a 3 month warranty on the used bike. I will definitely be shopping here again!

This should be the first place you look for a new or used bikes. They have somewhat limited selection, but they will not try to sell you something you don't need, and you will never be rushed. The owner spent a lot of time with my wife telling her about her new bike and about potential accessories. I bet the person that gave them one star had never been there. They do deal with all those brands mentioned because they refurbish old bikes.

Great shop and staff right in the neighborhood! Dimitri is a straight shooter and gave me great advice and a no pressure sales approach. Im new to cycling and he helped me understand the very important things to look for when looking at bicycles. He didnt try to sell me the most expensive bike in the store, just what he thought was right for my riding level.
Now three months later I just dropped in and they gave me an incredible trade in on my pre-owned bike and a killer deal on a pair new Fuji Absolutes for me and my fiance'.

NwProGear...Can't say enough about this place, customer service, staff knowledge, and quality used/new bike selection. I'e bought two new bikes so far, with another one ordered. Although I live downtown sw, going out to 92nd presents no challenge, and well worth it.

The problem is, I am intimidated by the bike snobs at many bike shops. At NWProGear I felt like it is OK to be an amateur. He told me what my bike is worth, showed me a similar one that was rebuilt and ready to go and then told me what repairs he recommended for my bike. This allowed me to make the best decision for my budget (full-time student). The bike was ready the next day and he called to let me know of one more

I love how conveniently close it is to trimet/max. It's tucked away near The New Copper Penny in a clean neighborhood. It's also near the I-5 path and the Spring Water corridor, which is bicycle friendly.
Dimitriy was the best! His thorough service and offers were top notch. He was always available. His store was tidy. His lineup of bikes, accessories and prices were unmatched (more acc. to come, fyi; anything was on-order).
His personal history and knowledge of his vintage Motobécane was intriguing. We also went to Clackamas community college!
There were a few price tags missing, but
