Effective 8/9/21 you must be fully vaccinated to take lessons. With the recent surge of cases in Memphis & Shelby county, especially the Delta Variant, we are requiring full vaccination, including proof, for everyone that comes in the studio. We value our own health, as well as our family, friends, and clients.

We have taught hundreds of wedding couples to dance their first dance, let us teach you. Whether you choose to dance a little, or you choose to go all out, let us make your first dance memorable.

A little over a year ago, I watched Rye dance in a competition after taking lessons for about 10 months. I saw the joy in her face, and I had seen first-hand how she looked forward to her lessons. I was first introduced to DanceSmiths almost immediately following a breast cancer diagnosis and treatment.
Private dance lessons are the quickest and easiest way to learn to dance. No partner is ever necessary! You get 100% of the focus during your lesson. You do not have to worry about making mistakes in front of anyone since it is only your lesson. Private lessons are available between 10:00am and 9:00pm, Monday through Friday.
When Groupon, Living Social, and the like came out, we tried them. Friends in Portland got 1500(!) new students in one week! Who wouldn't want that?! Well, it turned out to be a bust; no way to handle them all, bad reviews, and thousands in losses.
When we started with them we got a minimal number of new faces in the door, gave 50-60% of the money to Groupon/Living Social, and found the vast majority were bargain hunters trying to get Mercedes service at Kia prices.We have chosen to avoid Groupon and Living Social, so that we could continue to provide service at our preferred level.

Beth and Benji were determined to change and improve the dynamic of dance studios they had experienced. With attention not only on the necessary business, but also the actual dance education of the staff & students. They trained their first staff from the ground up; focusing on customer service, AND how to teach dance lessons to ANYONE.

I wanted to put a little effort into our Mother/Son dance at my son's wedding reception and Frances gave me EXACTLY what I was hoping for! My sweet son agreed to do this and Frances made it so comfortable for him. I'll always remember the fun we had during the lessons and treasure the video of our dance that special night!!! Benji was amazing. He taught us so much in just two lessons a week before our wedding. I love how he finds a way to relate what he is trying to teach you in terms that you will understand. We will definitely be going back. If you were to ask me 6 months ago if I would know ANYTHING about dancing I woild have thought you were crazy. I definitely recommend it and its a great way to put a spark back in a relationship. Thank you so much for making our special day even more special. Very safe during the Covid pandemic and no concern at all there. Thanks again.
