McGarvey Efficiencies was founded in 1992 by Brunswick native Cormac McGarvey Jr., a developer, who recognized the need in Glynn County, Georgia for affordable, convenient housing for the short, mid, or long-term stay. After graduating from The Citadel, Murray McGarvey took over the management of his fathers rental units.
He was joined on a part time basis by his twin brother, Kevin McGarvey, also a Citadel graduate. Murray developed McGarvey Properties Inc. while managing McGarvey Efficiencies. Both businesses offer efficiency living. Even with Murray's untimely death in 2006, both companies have survived and flourished.

So convenient! I stayed for 9 months while at the college. They let you go month to month on the lease, so no need to sign a year or more. Rent ($725/month) was very reasonable & included my power, water & cable. It was nice not having to deal with deposits at the local utilities. My apartment even had a marsh view! The office & maintenance staff were so nice & super accommodating...Kathryn was very helpful.

I moved here about w months ago from a local hotel, and I wish I'd been able to move when I first located this place! The office staff are great, the maintenance people are prompt and courteous. I had an issue with the toilet and the a/c went out, and both times, there was someone there within 10 minutes of my call. I didn't get that kind of service at the hotel I was at!
The unit is very nice and airy. I love the stove after having only a microwave. It has a full size fridge, a nice counter for eating at, and a big closet. The only thing I wish it had is a window that you could open, but I can
