My family had been using this funeral home for, pretty much, my entire life. When my father passed away suddenly, it was the hardest thing I've ever had to experience. Since Martin's is the only funeral home I was familiar with and couldn't otherwise think clearly, I immediately called Martin's to make arrangements for my father on the day he passed away.
I don't want to mention any names, but the person who organized my father's service was extremely brash. When meeting with her to make the arrangements, I did not like her attitude at all. It was almost like it was a huge inconvenience to her

I attended a funeral on August 27, 2021. Upon arriving to the cemetery, there was a huge delayed. After 30 mins of sitting in the car we were told the funeral home did not put the permit in for the burial until that day. It was a huge inconvenience to myself and my family. Especially being the end of August and climates being hot. Many family members left. I understand things happen but this situation could have been prevented.

I've seen her scream at cemetery workers over her own funeral home's mistakes for not calling to schedule the funeral to dig the grave; leaving everyone to wait. her closing regards at the conclusion of her services are so long winded that it is as if it's the only thing she cares about. Hearing herself talk.

Martin's provided exceptional service. The coordinator was very professional and compassionate woman. She even served as an extra Usher at the CNC church where the service was held. I recommend this location for every grieving family.

I tried calling twice to get the details about arrangements for a neighbor's family member who had just passed and was told my message would be passed on to a "director" but I never heard back. All I wanted to know was the hours for the wake which now I will miss. I thought most Funeral parlors now a days listed obituaries on their websites; that has been customary for everybody I have known recently that has passed. Very unfortunate and sad since I could not pay my respects in person.

My best friend was laid to rest today after a quick illness. Her family chose this funeral home for services. From the moment we arrived I found the staff to be curt and rude. I was unaware of their no beverage rule and had a to go cup of coffee with me. I was rudely told to discard my beverage or be expected to pay a $17000 fine. Had someone politely informed me to either enjoy my beverage outside or allow them to discard it for me would have been a more polite and sensitive approach. The entire staff was more interested in bossing people around and rushing people out than in showing compassion

Stay away from this company. In times of need they take advantage of the grieving. My Aunt prepaid for her funeral arrangement in 1991, however upon her death the price prepaid was no longer honored. Her family had to pay 3 times as much as her original prepayment. When questioned about this the family was simple told if they wanted their mother's remains taken care of they had to pay the difference. In addition, my Aunt was suppose to be buried but had to be cremated because the fees paid were not enough. They wanted more money. Also there was an additional set of fees for a crypt
