The Prairie Guest House provides comfort, cleanliness, and calm. Our guest suites, each with a private bath, are appointed with furnishings of comfort and home. Breakfast is served as early as 6:30 am with continental offerings, and 8:00 am for a full breakfast. Our check-in times for business travelers are at any time.
Breakfast at the Prairie Guest House is the start of new day, a celebration. With smiles, we serve a delicious breakfast. It starts with brewed coffee, herbal and breakfast teas, wonderfully awakening juices, and fresh fruit to get you ready for the main course. For each meal we create a wonderfully seasoned egg dish as well as a vegetable side, and homemade breads, occasionally accented by tasty breakfast meats.

We have lots of experience, flexbility, and great attention to detail, all in a spacious and rustic environment perfect for your out-of-town guests to gather in a home-like space.

We had a wonderful stay at the Prairie Guest House. We stayed in the Frederick room, it was warm and cozy. The fireplace was perfect on a chilly fall evening. They are very accommodating and kind. Breakfast was a wonderful delight of quiche, bacon, potatoes, English muffin and fresh fruit. Very satisfying! We look forward to staying here again!

My second stay at Prairie Guest House. The first in 2016. Now 5 years later their prices 75% higher. I didn't object as my first stay was lovely and I prefer to support privately owned businesses. However, this visit was very different. The lack of cleanliness was disturbing and did not lend to a peaceful stay and rest. The breakfast was fresh and tasty but not tasty enough to overlook the neglect of housekeeping. Finding spider webs on the shower head and finally mouse dropping in the bedding, I am compelled to give my stay a low rating. Two stars for breakfast. Outwardly tidy but not clean. Unfortunately

We just returned from spending 4 nights at the Prairie Guest House and we couldn't be more pleased. We had out of town family stay here as a wedding HQ, and also had our son and daughter-in-law's rehearsal dinner on property. The house and dining facility were ideal for what we wanted and couldn't have imagined staying at a hotel for this weekend. John and Karen were super flexible and accomodating and fantastic hosts. The food was praised by all for breakfasts and the dinner. Property has such great character that we loved. Will be staying here next time in town for sure.
