This family-run San Antonio favorite specializes in the breakfast taco, done in pure Tex-Mex style: House-made, oversized tortillas are puffed up in a deep fryer until they're all crunch and air, then piled with egg and cheese and accompanied by any combination of bacon, beans, chorizo and ham.Locals know the slow-roasted, smoky barbacoa is only available on weekends.

If you want food cooked with passion and many years of perfection, then come to this joint! The flavor on the tortillas is unexplainable how good it tastes. We all had different tacos and were stoked to have made this spot on our San Antonio trip. Taking with the chef, she was so sweet and you could tell that she loves making peeps happy with her culinary skills

Not the best taco in America but not horrible. Good flavor but like most small businesses they run out of stuff quick it appears. The service as of this is review lacking due to not being able to hire help. Took over 45mins for ordering and food, received salsa but no chips but that maybe what they do. Took another 39min or so to get bill and had to walk in and demand to pay.

According to the inside staff, they have several people who just walk out due to their lack of staffing. Could be great but just not worth another visit.

If I could give it half a star or no star I would. We wanted to try something new ... so we went here.. we walked inside and tables were dirty.. it had plates on them and mind you the restaurant wasn't busy at all and they had 2 customers in there. We ended up sitting outside. She had asked what we wanted to drink and she went inside. I thought she forgot about us as it took a long time and we didn't get any menus yet. When we finally got our drinks it was by someone else. The tea was not good at all. I ordered bacon and egg tacos and huevos rancheros. When the waitress coming with our

I haven't gotten a breakfast taco in many months, perhaps due to covid in part. I tried one at another restaurant and was not impressed. One morning, it dawned on me that we always had gotten our tacos at TTC, standing in line on a Saturday or Sunday morning often. So I got some, drive by, for my wife and for me... I wondered why I've stayed away: greeted by a long time employee; tacos were excellent. Thanks! We'll be back.

I have been to Taco Taco a few times for breakfast tacos and I have enjoyed them! My go-to taco is the "Super Taco" which consists of refried beans, shredded cheese, potatoes and sausage. There is friendly service and I have found my food to be fresh.

However, the last 2 times I have tried to dine in, I have been asked to sit outside. I can understand this because of COVID, but it was a little upsetting for me because there were other patrons dining inside the building! I would have been the only person on the patio dining. The first time is was hot and sunny, and the second time it

My mom used to come here every Sunday after church before COVID. So happy to are be back! This is a great San Antonio establishment. I think being on TV was hard for them and hurt their reviews but it didn't hurt their tacos.

We ordered some breakfast tacos and we ended up getting the wrong order. Went back and some tacos were still wrong... the tortillas are very thick and serving sizes weren't good. I ordered a potato and egg taco and I swear there was only four pieces of potatoes in the taco. The red salsa is too watery and doesn't have any flavor. I usually don't leave reviews for places-- but we aren't going back.

I went there because a restaurant down the street was full. Big mistake :(

I ordered the chorizo a la Mexicana. The food tasted reheated like it was refrigerated overnight then brought out that day to serve. The beans were a grossy white creamy looking with no flavor. The potatoes looked dry and pre- heated. To make things worse the tortillas were to thick and very stale.

My girlfriend's plate was even worse. We both took two bites and realized totally came to the wrong place. Don't get me started on the dirt cup of sweet tea. I can go but I'm just so disappointed in our

I honestly feel like reviewers are ragging on this restaurant because it was on "Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives" and people's expectations are crushed when the food is not the best food they have ever tasted.

I went for breakfast and it was a bit confusing on not being able to enter to building (signs weren't clearly marked to not enter the building and order outside, this is something the restaurant could improved). However the wait wasn't terribly long for the food to come out. The staff was very friendly and helpful since it was my first time.

The food was quite

This place was ehhhh ... we stopped because we noticed that Guy Fieri mentioned it was one of the best spots in SA. I don't think so ... they did have good homemade flour tortillas. The VERY SPICY SALSA, was very mild. The owner was very nice

There is a huge sign outside stating best tacos in San Antonio by Guy fiery and food network but the only reason to stop here is cuz they ran out of gas and had no where else to eat, it's covid so I understand we had to sit in the patio. Me and my mom ordered the puffy tacos and a quesadilla for my four year old the tortillas on the tacos were so thick it was like a sope. She brought out salsa I said do you have chips she said they were stale and did not want to bring them out.

The quesadilla came out on a tortilla like a rock, my son bit it and spit it out, he was really hungry so I thought

We were here two weeks ago while on a road trip from Los Angeles. We arrived on a Monday and my wife was sad because she knew she was going to miss out on barbacoa. While she was discussing this with me the owner came over and said she had overheard my wife talking and just so happened to have been making some in her crockpot. My wife ordered one taco and when it came and she took that first bite I could see the joy in her eyes. The owner was very nice and talkative (she even brought out the crock pot she was making the barbacoa in) and the food we ordered was good. (Yes, I know we are not

Don't waste your time and money here. Had very high expectations for this restaurant due to all the advertising outside "Best Tacos in America" and "as seen on DDD and Rachel Ray. Tortillas were cold, stale and were not fresh. Food, tasteless and cold. Should have turned around when I saw an empty parking lot at 9:30 am on a Saturday.

Finally tried this place out after living I'm the neighborhood for 2 years. We ordered breakfast tacos, but i've had better. The tortillas are pretty thick. I had to rip off a good portion off the top to get a good bite. Also, they give red salsa, which actually makes the taco taste worse. No authentic Mexican salsa flavor, it's more on the sweet side. Im still looking for a go-to taco place for Sundays, and this ones definitely not on the list.

This place is for fools who might actually watch Guy F on an episode of the ridiculous show. Anyone who appreciates good food or good service will be sorely disappointed.

It's three blocks from my house. Haven't had it in many years with a disappointing memory lingering. I decided to try it again. Suffice it to say it's not worth a three block drive.

Tortillas are spongy and gummy. The carne guisada taco was dry and pasty without much seasoning. The country sausage was commercially packaged links of sausage sliced up and tossed with unseasoned scrambled eggs. Salsa was bland and
